Nice drill. I'd love to play with that for just one week. Hilti is pricey but they sure make some quality equipment. I think a lot of the time the guys that bitch about the cost of their products are really just jealous maybe. I'm one of them I can honestly say. I can still remember the first time I used a 480v drill. It was the pentruder model. I drilled an 8" dia. 12" deep.....45 seconds. I thought I was dreaming. Nice job man.
I know this the DD500 but have you heard that a DD350 was used to break into a vault in London? Media is currently estimating the theft could be as much as £200 million but they aren't sure yet, as it was a 'safe' deposit. Yours is the most detailed video I've found that could be used as a DIY guide....wonder if they used your video?? The wall was 2m thick....can you get extensions for these? Or do you think they had to make their own?
Yes, you can core drill almost any depth, all manufacturers sell extensions, sometimes long barrel core bits are made up or ordered for thick drilling.
RA30st08 The HILTI could do it, through concrete, same bit more extension. But apparently the 'heist' was 2m through reinforced concrete rebar, and you'd have to be 4yo small to get through a 350mm, 2m long tunnel. Imagine a 30cm ruler held out infront of you.
I think they must have drilled a series of holes to create an opening, i'm guessing at least 600 mm in diameter. that would require around 19 holes at 100 mm, looking at 45 per hole.

I noticed all tools have close resemblances the color and name brand are the two differences, the wanker using the tool is what really matters. SAFETY FIRST MATES👷 cheerio
Bertie Blue You have to drill to the full depth of the barrel and then use a wedge to snap the core and pull it out.Add an extension to the bit and drill again, repeat until through the wall.
