Hey man, I was just wondering if you have a shorter tray on the lux. I am trying to figure out what canopy to get for my space cab BT50 and cant decide on a length. Do you have any suggestions?
Hey mate yeah it was originally a 2100mm tray and I removed the last couple of panels so it’s now about 1800mm long I went with 1100mm long canopy so I’d still have some tray space at the back but if you have a standard length tray you could go 1400mm long canopy and still have the same amount of left over tray as me
Think it was just m10 or m12 bolts about 50mm long with thread all the way up. It doesn’t really matter what bolts you use because the weak point is the aluminium canopy not the fasteners so make sure you use big washers or fish plates even better
@@RyvalCreative oh shoot rewatch ur vid and realised I just went to get my black powder coated 1100l canopy this morning from that shop as well owner Steve wang lol
Thanks man! I got the canopy from perfection toolboxes at Everton hills and the suspension is fox with 2” ext springs, Blackhawk ucas, rg rear leaves, ext shackles and brake lines
Hey mate my canopy doesn’t have any frame in the floor it’s just a big sheet of aluminium so just bolted through that and put some bigger washers on to spread the load a bit more
@@RyvalCreative haven’t had any issues? I just got my canopy and just bolted through the ally floor aswell and was just worried that it wouldn’t be strong enough
Nah no issues, it doesn’t seem to want to move anywhere. It would take a lot of force to rip those bolts through that floor which would probably only be possible from a crash or rollover or something like that at which point your canopy is probably going to be wrecked regardless
