The seats are bolted together separately from that bottom bracket. When those 12mm bolts are undone, the seat back and bottom are still attached, so you remove it as one whole piece. Also the back rest is still hooked into place (hence leaving the 42mm) and will only lift up and out of bracings when the bottom seat is raised.
@@mathyland5373 I’ll keep trying but iv given all that a try and it seems they’re cut too short on my ute they are bang on 42mm. I tried nudging the square things up but they were then to far back (like to hard up against the rear wall) for the latches to grab

Read all the comments. Do not do this . There is a lot that he doesn't explain or show in the video that you need to see or know before doing this. I don't think he's put the bolts back in on the seat back is one for a start.
The bolts are in place but later models do not hinge at the bottom of the rear seat. Your seat must have a hinge at the bottom. Mine does not. 2017 Revo model. Also a different type of catch.
