HILUX REAR SHOES and AXLE 

I've just done mine for the first time after 21 years and 300,000klm. The adjusters were still working perfectly and the shoes still had at least half their life left. I do 4WD from time to time but not a lot of mud work.

My haynes manual says 69nm for the axle retaining nuts, not a bad guess at 60👍🏻

Is the hole you said to put the spring in correct? The spring is too long for that hole. No tension. 🤔

At 12 mins 20 seconds there is a small clip on the adjuster thread, that the mechanic says these can go flying, I re assembled my brakes and had that piece left over haha, should I pull the wheel off and install it or will it be fine till next service when I can re install it??
