I think it is amazing how incredibly they perfomed given the fact Ville is clearly pretty wasted. I find the whole Taubertal performance of Ville awesome, his voice is so rich and varied in all its nuances. And the sound of the whole gig is the best I have heard from them.
I had the privilege to see them live many times. Every time Ville was smoking, drinking and still laying the vocals down. The whole band for that matter made every penny spent worth it. I'm sure plenty do the same but every time I've seen HIM, I've never been disappointed. Still awaiting that reunion tour and if it does come, I'm dusting off the HIM jacket and fingerless gloves and going for one more round.
you are wrong!! I saw them live in 2013 and their concert was amazing, I was so really impressed by the quality of their sound, also the new album is great, they still have it, its just that they are not as popular as before but their real fans still there....
No, you're wrong!!! >:|. lol Let's be honest here for a second, you aren't telling me that the peak for HIM is 2013. Now, come on. Even Ville is off the sinking ship, what with re-releasing all the old albums. He knows the band is basically done for. I'm giving HIM about 5 more years before they disband. I love em but they are a shadow of their former self.
what i mean is that there is not downhill for this band, they just change but that happens to all bands, its up to you if you keep liking them or not, for me the new material its great and ville stills singing like an angel, they will be always a great band until the end...
My job is to just stand by and be happy for Ville no matter what. And I do not bash Ville getting drunk all the time as I thought it was a wonderful experience for him. And I do not think any of the people who commented this video are fake fans, because they love the music nevertheless, and that is enough, and not just because Ville is the singer(although it doesn't hurt).
Besides the great concert, and the magnificent song, i really love the big castle and the woods at the end.! Makes more beautiful the whole set.!! FUCK! i just want to be there.!! =D
oh my god, he wasnt in rehab before this x] harharhar bless him. he looked abit shaky, almost like ozzy. wow, idols are so alike (: HIM areee the most amazing band ive ever seen live in my life :)
HAHA this is such a funny performance. He looks so happy and sounds great. I kinda wish he is still as energetic nowadays on stage as he used to be though.
It's weird, isn't it that they do that? What amazes me is how beautifully he can still sing even when utterly pissed to the gills. It's astonishing how talented he is.
I agree. I am not entirely sure of the hell that Ville might have been going through before he had went into rehab, and I can never grasp it, since I never knew him personally. I mean, noone knows just exactly what he went through. But I accept Ville drunk or sober. And I respect any decision that he makes. The way I see it, though I truly love the man, I am not going to worry over what he does that much,as it is not my buisness, and he is old enough to make his own decions.
this song would have made it so big if they had put a little more into it. like killing loneliness... it would have been that song that everyone knows HIM for.. aamzing.
AMAZING SONG!!! VIlle's performance was amazing. i love the song i love VILLE!!! ive heard him sing live and he s SO much better than in the videos... u rly have to listen to him live guyz. its stunning!!!! :)
did u know that he'd entered rehab recently for his alcoholism?? he said it helped him tremendously!!!! he said that he slept like he hadn't in 15 years!!
Well, giving a brilliant performance when being drunk has not been unfortunatelly always the case. Go and see HIM at Artmania festival (2006?)....it is heartbreaking to see him like that. Thanks God he is better now and hopefully stays that way. They should also start playing again The Path, Circle of Fear, Love´s Requiem, One last Time, I love You...all my favourites..haha. On the other hand I could do without Wings of the Butterflies.
the good ol' him times were the times of greatest love songs vol. 666. they were WAY better back then, except for when love and death embrace. this perfomance is not their best, but its still pretty good :D
And I am sickly tired of this ongoing verbal war upon who is true and who is fake. We are all fans, it's just that there are different degrees of it. I know many of you will not see my side, and will continue to sort out who's true and who's fake, but that's fine. I just see it as degrading to the other person, when we all have the same intent. And that is just to simply sit back and enjoy the beautiful melodies from the band HIM. Sorry for all the comments.
the band as a whole are great, think of it.. ville valo would have been playing bass in another band. he only sang in HIM cus they couldn't find a singer. ville was originally playing bass
i really wished they played this song still. this and this fortress of tears. maybe one day in the future they'll suprise us like they did with razorblade kiss in theyre previous tour. whhen did he pee?
