Nothing about that first comment made sense. Boom-Bap has always had a niche and has never gone away. Word of advice, no hate, that is horrible way to market yourself. I’m not even talking about trying to plug plays in the comments. Telling people that what they like sucks and that you make better shit, isn’t going to earn any listeners. Even as a fan of the classic Boom-Bap sound, I can also tell you, a lot of the fans are also artists (with the same gimmick), and they have no money, so you most likely wont make a dime in that lane. Backpackers are also haters and gatekeepers by nature and will look for any reason to tell you that you’re fake or that you not “real Hip-Hop”. So, if you want to make something of your art, do it for YOU, make what YOU want to hear and don’t try to beat people over the head with what you think they should be listening to.
