Since the onset of the monsoon in the hill state of Himachal Pradesh, 130 people have died in rain-related incidents such as landslides and flash floods, and road accidents - according to the Himachal Pradesh State Emergency Response Centre. The apple economy in the state’s capital - Shimla, took a hit this season while Mandi-Kullu national highway got blocked, keeping tourists stranded.

My heart and prayers for all the families who have suffered, Himachal is the most beautiful part of India with really caring people, seeing people suffer like this is heart-wrenching. The government has called for full support and I hope people who lost their homes shall be granted new homes. Devbhumi Himachal ❤❤.

Many of the Hills / Mountains in Himachal are mostly hardened mud / silt that was left over when the Indian sub-continent collided with the Asian plate over 110 million years ago. No wonder that with such amount of water as rainfall would soften this mud / silt and cause landslides. There was a sea in this area hundreds of millions of years ago and one can still see sea-shells and molluscs embedded in the mountain sides. This had to happen one day, unfortunately. Deeply saddened with the events and sympathies with the residents of Himachal.

The US has been hiring private companies along with our own government agencies to do this. I've seen the flight tracking...and pay attention to what HAARP does and how it coincides with many of our "natural disasters" as of late... Remember that last huge hurricane in Florida??
