Looking great, that rear rack is what many riders have been waiting for, proper solid stuff, engine guards very well made too. That's going to be one awesome adventure machine👍😎..... Harry
You are doing a fabulous job on the Himi. Nothing too superfluous, but all worthwhile mods. If I didn`t already have one i`d be right in there trying to win it!!
I like highway pegs.. I think I would put on highway pegs myself. 😂 Crash Guards always give me a place to stretch out my legs with folding pegs on them.
Hello Mark, a great job on fitting the Crash Bars it worth it to protect the bike. Its looking so good and I hope I can win it! Thanks Mark; David...Adelaide...Tiger 900GT & Scrambler ..... nice
Coming together nicely... not sure about basher for a name though. I think donkey, mule or ox seems a bit more fitting seeing how its named after the Himalayan mountains haha
I have been waiting to see what that rear rack looks like. I would be interested to see how the luggage sits on that rack. I don’t want to put big pannier racks on my Himmie and this rack has given me another option.
What's your thoughts on the SRC crash bars compared to the Givi set? I am torn between the two myself, Givi is the cheaper one but the SRC set looks great, they also look like they would give some protection to the riders feet? At least you have an SRC shop in Aus, here in Canada I have to go to the U.S. and pay the exchange rate.....which is currently shit !! Great job on the upgrades !!
on the back rack thing, the only reason I would not put on a good rack (like the SRC one you are showing, which looks really good) is that I`d want to think about the weight getting added to the top / back of the bike. It is a heavy bike but with a low centre of gravity. So I`d want to try keep the weight low. However if you are happy for the weight to be added in that location, then that looks an excellent product. The stock the rack on the bike is small, its hard to fit much top luggage to. So if you need top luggage, an upgrade is definitely required. However, maybe a small rack makes you get inventive (gotcha straps??). I think, by using the front racks and adding pannier ranks, that can make a lot of sense = low down weight with extra storage. Any thoughts??
