There's supposedly a setting you can set within the computer to control how much assistance is provided and how strong the assistance provided feels. Actually, there's the setting that controls the number of Pedal Assist Settings ( like 0-5 or 0-7 or 0-9 ) and the SSP setting ( initial burst of power setting ) . Within the PAS settings itself, you can also control the percentage of power provided; within the SSP setting, you can control abrupt or gentle the takeoff is. There's another setting elsewhere that controls the speed limit ( which also relates to the PAS settings as well ) Relatively easy to google and find a video showing how to set the Himiway settings ..
I have this bike and really like it. I changed out the freewheel from 14-28 to 11-28, which helped with peddling at higher speeds. I also changed the PAS settings from the factory default. Made it better to change from 0-5 to 0-7 with a better range of percentages.
Oh nice, that's a great idea. And also thanks for the tip about the settings for PAS. I'll have to look into it. I'm a little shocked they didn't refine this better from the factory. It's borderline dangerous the way it is for somebody who's not experienced riding motorized vehicles
Great review bro. Your talking was spot on!!! It was all about the bike quite refreshing not to hear your life story for 3.5 min before the vid so I thank you for that will follow you next vids for sure. Thanks again
I like the looks of this style , bike, but i have heard they can be a little cramped for those around 6 ft or taller. I wish bikes would have adjustable handlebar height. Having said that, this is a great down to Earth review , well done :)
Awesome! Good luck with it. Be careful while pedaling at first with the power assist. It kicks in kind of hard and doesn't turn off immediately when you stop pedaling. As somebody else was commenting in the video. Apparently you can make some adjustments to this. I haven't tried it yet
Nice video ! My wife has this E-bike, for less of a torque boost, change the settings of the % power going to the motor, in % increments for different speeds...GTLA ,Also change the front sprocket from 46 tooth, to 52 tooth, and this will give you a extra 8th, & 9th gear for max peddling from 20mph, to 25+mph ....
That IS so AWESOME! Finally I'm watching a video were someone has taken battery out and put to CHARGED while assembling 🚲!😜 Had a great laugh when you was going full throttle with GOPRO in one hand ad soda in the other 😂
That bike is sick, i would love to get one..that would be perfect to cruise around my town or ride across town to my job...that way i could save on gas..

I didn't catch the price, if you threw it. Fun & informative review. BTW, Dachshunds were bred for hunting badgers, so they all dig and dig and dig. Careful picking 'em up, too, as they're known for back problems, esp near the rear legs. Keep havin' fun!
Good vid, still looking for something for the wife... that start pause would throw her right off... will have to look for one that has a more gradual take off, granny style! Awesome control with one hand and yea Man U r right, wear that skid lid! Have a good one and thanks for the narration, on point and well done. 👍🏻
If you're still looking (and you could be, god knows I've been doing it for over a month now and still haven't decided lol), you can go into the settings on the controller and change that take-off so it's more gentle and gradual.
Nice bike but the little beast fiido L3 I have is a range beast averaging 17mph on a 50 mile run till empty 5,11 180lbs big hills and flats, swapped out the strait bar for bmx leg savers and added 2.2 cult tyres, unlocked gets you 20mph and feels like 40mph on 14 wheels
Nice bike, I was wondering regarding the low resistance when pedalling after a certain speed, if you could loosen the back wheel pull it back and then re-tighten if the bike a allows you and looks safe, chain will be tighter and less rattle and should help with resistance 👍
They won't let you ride that on the bike path if it has a throttle..... Make sure you know what you're buying I'd hate to see you stuck out in traffic riding your bike... Fat tire bikes I really unnecessary I guess if you want to look like you're riding a monster truck with big wheels... I would say go for it
Hello I been watching you and I see that you work on motorbikes I have got a 1996 aprilia Pegaso 650MX I have put a new one way clutch in and when I put the alternator cover back on the motorbike won't turn over at all I was just wondering what do you think it mite bee
Hey do you think a kids seat can be mounted to that wide rear rack ? I love the bike but it needs to be family friendly , does anyone have a kids seat on one of the big dogs yet?
I don't see why not. It's pretty sturdy. But I guess I would check with the manufacturer to see if they recommend something like that and what the payload capacity of the rack is
WARING ..do not buy a bike from Himway. Customer support is a sham and they lie to you . They tell you its ships in 2 days and it should say they take your money in two days and give you a run around . I am a senior and am very worried they will never send me the ebike. Customer service is very poor. I watched every video on the Big Dog too. So disappointed in himiway for the emails that send you to nowhere.
Dude has 474K subscribers and he can't afford to buy a camera mount or chest rig so he can ride helmetless with two hands in traffic. Hmmm Great video though. I enjoyed it.
Thank you for all the hard work, but I’m not a fan of reviews. I work paycheck to paycheck and can never afford buying “extras” for myself or my family. I have all I can do to pay our monthly bills. I make 60k/yr. But I’m sure there’s many who watch this channel and have plenty of disposable income 👍❤️
Hi. I have this bike and my battery won’t come out. The little black thing under neath the tube just spins forever with no resistance and doesn’t let it out. I used the key and I can see and hear it unhatch the battery but it is still unpullable. Is there a way to turn the black thing in a way to let the battery out? I tightened the screw holding it there and the cheap plastic black thing just snapped in half and fell off an now there’s just a screw.
