The facts speak for themselves. No need for this loud, melodramatic music cueing us to feel horrified. Good work, but don’t drown out your own narrator.
My grandmother was a holocaust denier. We were a bit shocked by her attitude. We made her watch watch documentaries and films, including Schindler’s List, on the holocaust. We asked her to chat with historians and to get to know Jewish people who could tell her about Jewish customs and how they were cruelly treated during the holocaust. We even took her to synagogues and asked the Rabbi to speak to her. After so much immersion in holocaust and Jewish history and people my Granny did change her opinion. When we asked her of she still didn’t believe the holocaust never occurred she replied ‘oh, no it happened, I’m just surprised it only happened once’

Brilliant series, but in this one the background music at some points is drowning out the commentator. Music is supposed to be "background" and in most programmes adds nothing at all to the content, be much better without it.
Not sure about his contention that this was the greatest crime in human history. Stalins purges and Mau Zeedung's great "leap forward " plan to modernize China at the cost of over 20 million of his subjects ranks higher.

Most of the books I have read on Heydrich's assassination and the documentary I watched of it said that he died due to the horse hair inside the cars upholstered seats infecting his blood.

I thought I was the only one who noticed that. In one scene he has the collar patch of a Brigadefuhrer on the left and the SS patch on the right. From Standartenfuhrer up the rank was worn on both patches.

The Madagascar plan had been talked about in Europe for years prior to that, and some Jewish groups even wanted it to happen if they could have self rule. Some Nazis wanted it SS controlled like a prison island, but some didn’t too. Eichmann for example thought the Jews should self rule in Madagascar.
@@den264 The SS did help in the resettlement of many jews in Palastine they opened an office in Vienna for that purpose and soon opened another two one in Berlin another in Prague but this all came to halt in 1939 with the outbreak of war
The management of background music vs voices is a complete disaster. That is the very first indication that we are dealing with people who don't know what they are doing. And that is the problemn with at least 50% of Documentaries on RU-vid.
Having Jewish ancestry this film only makes me appreciate these documentaries even more , but please 🙏 for future reference do something with the music volume
A lot of people we have in Govt now are just as inexperienced opportunists as they were back then and sycophants to boot so all this can and will play out again to a slightly different back drop with some possibly really evil results on a global level. What qualifications do ministers really have to run aspects of Govt which are now very privatised in the west with even less oversight?
The wonderful thing is We German don't pay much attention to this period anymore..BUT the rest of the world still talking about it..!!!
