I love that in Hina chan's Big Trade it's explained that characters get hired and paid for showing up in a mainline game and fangames. I like to think that the circle can't afford to hire many character for Help me Satori sama and the extra stage is just a list of character that the dev want to include but have high pay rates.
Haha i remember getting absolutely hyped after seeing what the subject of the satori extra stage was… promptly before going and taking a seat next to okuu in the birdbrain ranks
I didn't actually know what the extra stage was, because I had the reverse situation: I'm also a birdbrain at the normal stages, but I'd probably rock the socks off the extra if I got there.
I wish there was an option to balance it to the lower stages, since because it's the extra stage, it's partially ruined just by how much difficulty is put into it by it being extra. Just guessing is fun and challenging enough

To be fair Mokou is a character that exists, she is the only non playable Human character that appears in the mainline games that I can think of though, as I am assuming it doesn't count manga characters nor .5/fighting game characters either.
@@graphite7898 That's the problem with Okuu here. It might, it might not. unless you get a proc and get a character in a non-main line will it actually answer the question of "do fighting games count"
I'd say I'm scared of this future, but I mean, I've had the same favorite characters since literally getting into Touhou from the start, and Unconnected Marketeers may have introduced a character that *finally* challenges their throne.
I'm starting to get into Touhou more and more and Hina has become one of my favorite characters, so I'm satisfied just for the fact she gets her own game

Only complaint about Help Me, Satori-Sama! is that I wish the Extra stage had a version where there was no false answers, since like you said, I just want to play the Guess Who? part. Especially since I have short term memory loss, so it's harder for me already to guess which character she's talking about with the format(even if I've been a Touhou fan since I was ~8 years old, it's still harder for me with how vague it is and how many options there are). I often find myself worrying about which answers are wrong- especially since it's at its worst in that level purely due to it being the last one- than I am about anything else. Just an option, not a replacement.
Minor nitpick, but Joon's name is actually pronounce like "joh-on," not "jun." Also fun fact, the artist for the first game has a *ton* of works surrounding Hina, Joon, and Nitori. They also have a secret NSFW side (Edit: I'm 90% sure they're the same person, but not 100%), but I wouldn't seek it out unless you're into sc[REDACTED]. Anyway, lovely, video as always! I think I might need to check these games out.
I know its an old comment but apparently he knows that joon is pronounced not “jun” but he just thinks its funnier, mentioned somewhere in a stream which I cant find
