Sparsh(12), or Betu, as his mother calls him, is a happy, mischievous boy, who hates milk, who is conscious about his hairstyle, and who is too impatient to wait for lunch hour to eat his best friends tiffin. Sparsh’s life changes when his best friend’s mother dies in an accident. That being his first direct exposure to death, it shakes him up. The unpredictability of life hits him and his mind inadvertently goes to his own mother, who he realizes is not immune from the fickle composition of life. The fear of separation takes away the nonchalance from his attitude and he is no longer the carefree boy he used to be. He starts observing and watching over his mother like a guardian. As he prepares to meet reality, he is summoned to the destination where his fears lie.
