As a south Indian I am deeply concerned about North Indians general knowledge

Our national language is Urdu written in Nagari script

Hindi killed so many regional languages, Garhwali, Kumauni, jaunsari, Marwari, Bagri, Bhili, bhojpuri, Magahi, chattisgarhi, kinnauri, himachali(multiple languages) Batao rajasthani hindi dialect kaise ho sakti h… Gujarati khud rajasthani se nikali hai

Hindi is as foreign as English in India. Hindi was created by the Turkic Mughals by merging Farsi and Arabic with local languages. This is similar to Indian English which has been created by merging English with local languages. Hindi gained dominance by decimating many regional languages and identities.

Hindi being national language is as true as Crow being the national bird of India.

Actually north Indians are good in English and Hindi ...Most of them can speak Hindi and English very fluently...But the sad reality is they didn't have proper general knowledge about India.They only knows about north India . According to them Hindi is India's national language and All South Indians are madrasis 😌. FYI, ∆ There is no national language for republic of India ∆ Official language of India are English and Hindi but every state can select their own language as official language .So we have about 23 official languages including English. ∆All south Indians are not madrasis.Madras Is the previous name of Chennai and it situated in tamilnadu state. ∆ Andra,Karnataka, Tamilnadu,kerala,Telangana are the Southern Indian states. Hindi and English are official in regions/states that do not have their own official language. India has atleast 18 official languages. Any state that has its own language like Bangla, Odia, Gujarati, Marathi, Telugu etc. can statutorily use the same for official purposes. Read The Official Language Act 1963 for the love of God

English and Hindi are the official languages. 22 Languages are National Languages of all states. Don't get fooled by these Hindian they even can't speak Marathi in Mumbai as it is very easy language those who are staying for years. We want to preserve our culture. Why ‘Hindi bhasa ka use karte hain,’ why not ‘Hindi bhasa ka upyog karte hain,’ well there’s many instances when most of the Indians in rural & urban areas have habitually accepted English terminologies over Hindi in their day to day life & interestingly many of them are unaware of it’s actual Hindi meaning like gas, cylinder, rail, bike, film, picture, tv, camera, mobile, shampoo, shawl, school etc….

Hindi only became a language after the Mughals came. In order to make it easier for them to communicate with the natives. Hindi just had to mix with Urdu. Oh actually Hindi came from Urdu.
