Hinduja Human Trafficking Case: UK's Richest Family 'Hindujas' Get Jail Terms For Exploiting Staff
The UK's wealthiest family, the Hindujas, were sentenced to jail for exploiting staff at their Swiss mansion. Prakash Hinduja and his wife Kamal received four years and six months, while their son Ajay and his wife Namrata were given four-year terms, according to the Geneva judge. Although the Hindujas, absent from court, were acquitted of human trafficking, they were convicted on other charges despite their £37 billion fortune. Prosecutors argued that the family underpaid staff and restricted their freedom. The Hindujas denied the allegations, claiming the prosecution unfairly targeted them, but eventually settled out of court with three accusers, with details kept confidential. Despite the settlement, the prosecution continued due to the severity of the charges.

Shame on people who are telling that these people are given jail sentence...they are just being dragged into this because of their enormous wealth... these rascals have sealed their diamonds, rubies and other valuable assets..thwy are just jealous...west only knows how to loot and rob, that's their only skill..they are not criminals..they can compensate to their domestic helpers but certainly don't deserve jail..just a means and way to take away their wealth...we as indians are only to be blamed for licking west..

Our judiciary is weak. They support crimesters crimes. That's what CJI Chandrachud did by rejecting oppositions request to have 100% tallying of EVMS with the VVPAT saying to the oppositions learn to trust EC.. that's why the votes looter came back. What ever is happening in India only CJI Chandrachud should be held responsible, if he had respected the oppositions request then Modi would have lost.

Kudos to Swiss Judiciary! If laws were implemented in india all Gujratis/Marwaris - Baniyas would be in Jail serving Life sentence. Even the mastermind in neet question paper leak at Godhra ExamCentre was Baniya named Amit Anand who has close links in ruling party

Imagine what this has done to our reputation as Indians. Even those with immeasurable wealth behave in ways that most of us find abhorrent. I doubt they will, but I hope they serve time in jail.

Here you may get resolved in few rupees.. there you got to pay in ten of thousands of dollars for start.. and judging by how they are millionaires billionaires something... The sentence is too little and it has been given with kid gloves for such a serious offence ..truly their are 2 laws the world over 1 for the rich and famous ..and 2 for the poor which is more harsh and tougher ..

I know people are going to hate what I am going to say, being rich in UK is not a good thing, have been there and seen what it is like, because your wealth is a target for everyone including the government there. You need to be very smart to protect it, else you will end up like this family, by the way not supporting the family for the crimes they have made but won't agree that Indian servants were so naive either. Here in India, my maid and cook have been employed with us for more than a decade now, they still try to trick me into giving them money. Managing them is a delicate skill.

There is a difference between service/working and slavery. This family are billionaires and they couldn’t even manage to pay their staff a minimum wage. Didn’t the family notice the staff never left the home, never had days off or went to see their families? Besharams!

The rich indians in USA also human traffic poor indians from india, nepal etc to work in their homes, shops buisness etc and do not pay them, give very poor living conditions etc. Also what about the 10000s of poor labourer indians that were flown from india to buid beautiful temple in New Jersey, USA. Those indian workers were paid only Rupees 50 to Rupees 70 per day ( yes per day), were given only 1 poor cheap vegetarian meal, had to sleep on cold floors. They were not even given proper shoes and warm clothes when they worked in winter. Each of them were kept for 6 months, then shipped back to india. That was human trafficing too. Is anybody doing anything about those poor labourers ? The American authorities know nothing about it, becausr they were told that 10,000s of workers want to volunteer for free to build the temple. As if god will be happy with such injustices😢
