I just showed my 7 year old daughter this video so she could understand what they were making candles for in school today. And they made dresses and they learnt a bit about Diwali today. She likes the fireworks in this video, she said they are not really loud like the ones she heard on fireworks night. I think it’s wonderful for children to learn about different cultures and I’m glad my daughters school teaches about all different cultures not just the welsh ones. 👏🏼🎇🎉💖
That’s amazing 😊 unfortunately at my schools they didn’t teach about Hinduism at all until towards the end of high school when we did our GCSE’s. But my niece was learning about it at her school when she was around the same age as your daughter :) personally my beliefs and Hindu beliefs have been near enough the exact same my whole life, only I didn’t know there was a whole religion behind it. I thought I was just weird. When they finally taught us about it at school everything just fell into place and felt right to me, but I do wish I’d learned about it a lot sooner
