Despite having a large population of 300 million, they haven't created their own political party in past 76 years. Instead, they've supported other parties like Congress, BSP, and BJP etc etc. Muslims haven't tried to gain their own political power and identity. Muslims have focused on secularism, unity, and brotherhood, but other Communities / parties haven't reciprocated. Hindu parties have promoted RSS Hinduism ideology and Hindutva. This Hindu ideology lead to extremism and violence against Muslims. Due to this RSS ideology Indian Muslims have been victims of riots, mob lynching, and attacks on their women frequently every where in india. Muslims NEVER managed to protect themselves or created a strong POLITICAL leadership to represent them in parliament. It is noticed that many Religious Ulma, scholars have kept Muslims away from Muslim politics. Majority of Muslim ulma scholars preferred to vote Hindu political leaders. Recently few Muslims have started participating in politics through Party like AIMIM, led by Asaduddin Owaisi.
