Have 4 agenda points for your podcasts Kushal, and this is genuinely going to be the best podcast in India. Not that you care about it (or so you have told us 15678 times), but these views need to reach a wider audience.

This podcast went off topic so many times, would have loved the topic if Kushal sticked to the topic. Kushal derailed the topic so many times and talked about topics that the guest is not the topic expert of.

I see priyank getting uncomfortable and struggling to agree with kushal for half of the videos.... we need more such conversation but literally most of the video went off topic... we needed more detailed discussion about intersection of savarkar and ambedkar where people like would like to position themselves

29:30 I question Kushal’s assumptions, Nehru was not religious and asserted that. Indira Gandhi may not have been sincere but she projected a robust (for its time) Hindu faith. Rajiv Gandhi coined Ram Rajya, original thought or tutored. It’s the RAGA cycle that is clueless. Its caste politics is trying to turn back time to pre-VP Singh and all it entailed.

If I ask the Communist Scholars of Manusmriti to tell me what extremely important reforms the Narad, Yagyavalkya, Brihaspati Smritis recommended to which social malpractices, the entire Galaxy of these so called Intelligentsia would be hiding under the carpet. In fact the modern day Hindus know name of Manusmriti just because of communist propaganda, however, Hindus are performing unbroken traditions of Yajn for thousands of years. Before I write about the crux of topic here, my question to Kushal Mehra and the rest is WHY DO YOU KEEP TALKING OF MANU SMRITI as if it is the gospel of Hinduism. It is an extremely tiny part of millions of Hindu texts. Which Hindu keeps Manu Smriti in their house or reads it? Which temple does that?? So what is your obsession??? I will wait for your answer. Now to the topic: The problem of inter jati marriage needs to be delved in in detail here. It is important to understand the human psyche and related tribal practices. No solutions will be successful unless we do that. Just calling Indians as low IQ is incorrect and silly. Why do humans have tribal instincts? Because from evolution POV they helped them survive. So it is coded in the DNA. Fighting tribal instinct doesn’t work. Perhaps jati identities can be replaced with Indian identity or Hindu identity. (Like Ambedkar and Savarkar tried but unsuccessfully) That is a kind of social engineering that requires mass movements as well as big players like the govt. Govt part not happening anytime soon in India given the politics scene currently. And any type of identity that does not provide the politico-socio-economic value will not be very effective. Jati helped ppl survive the worst onslaught for a 1000 years. Has jati become outdated? Yes, in many ways. Is there any economic value in it? For many communities, it still does, like Patels. It helped them capture diamonds polishing business from the Dutch (I guess) and help them become very successful motel owners in the west. It helps provide seed money to new entrepreneurs and it helps those who have fallen in difficult times. We keep talking of Hindu or Indian identity. Which pan-Hindu identity provides support to a member of our community who has fallen to hard times? What mechanism for that is there?? Jatis are one big reasons that Hindu population could not be fully converted by Abrahamics. Has jati system developed evil practices. Yes. Esp in the last 1000 yrs. But just attacking the current systems instead of providing better alternate solutions is what leftists and communists do. And they end up destroying the social fabric and value systems completely. This is what Kushal Mehra is failing to see or emphasize. A lot of energy is being focused on attacking social systems instead of developing new and better ones. As for the caste politics, I remember a time before Mandal commission, most ppl esp in cities were already convinced that caste is an outdated concept. No one cared. So what keeps this alive is caste politics. Solutions will only come when human nature, nature of human social networks, a study of Hindu social history (not endless rubbish attack on Hinduism) is undertaken. Also, from the same history we know that many bhakti movements during the same dark ages/medieval times were effective to quite an extent. Ram Mandir is managed by Ramanandi sampradaya that does not believe in any jati distinction or discrimination. Those are the sampradayas that will provide efficacious solutions.

Sikhi has no caste bcos that is one of the first things that Guru Nanak reformed. It is the bloody sikhs who could not shake off the caste system
