Thank you for this video. I just got hinged rings for my upper helix piercings, and they are a pain to get in. I'm used to using captive bead rings(I just left the rings open so I could take them in and out quickly) these were tricky bc you have little to hold onto. Thanks for the tips, hopefully I'll get them all in. Glad you are okay❤
after 2 years I came back to this video 😅 I had to take my piercings jewelry off and my niece was able to put the daith back, but I can't close it! it's a hinged heart and the hinge part is the one that goes inside the hole... the bigger part is the outer part and it is slightly unaligned as I tried to close it by squeezing the ends together 😅 but you know, not a lot of space inside your ears for the fingers to close it
Sounds like the hinge may have loosen up a bit. I'll be honest with Daith piercings, I often need to use hemostats because I can't get two fingers into that space.
when i first started wearing clickers and hinged rings, i gave up on trying to use my stubby fingers to open the hinge and started using bobby pins 🙈🙈 i've gotten to where i can use my fingers on clickers with flat posts but i still struggle with ring style clickers or ones with curved posts. i have one single mini bobby pin i keep exclusively in my jewelry box for stubborn clickers 😭
Thank you for the suggestion. I often try to come up with items that can be found around the house to help with jewelry changes and would have never thought of a Bobby pin. Great idea.
I have a hinged ring for the cartliage stuck in my nostril. It will not come out and my nose is hurting and swollen. I already have a keloid right on the top of my piercing. This is miserable, worst piercing I have ever had. I don't want to close the hole but this is ridiculous. 9 days post pierce I pulled my own l bar stud out waking up siddenly from my sleep. I continued to lose nose bones and then got another l bar and pulled it out twice also. I need help.
Would you recommend removing your jewelry and cleaning/sterilizing them on a routine basis? I have ear lobe piercings. I’ve mostly used posts but I want to try some hinged rings.
Most high quantity body piercing jewelry can be worn in the body for long periods of time. They are designed to stay in and only really require a little amount of cleaning they get when you bath.
good thing i watched this this morning… i just put my new-ish clickers/segmented jewelry together in a fabric bag 🤣 imma go separate that.. on another note glad your ok!one of the many reasons u will never see my ass get on a bike like that X(
THANK YOU FOR YOUR COMMENT! I only had a pair of pliers and couldn’t for the love of fucking Christ get it open. I got two bobby pins in my nose ring and pulled like hell. Finally got it (and punched myself in the face). THANK YOU ❤️❤️❤️
Have a problem with my daith piercing changing it out and putting it back trying to put a smaller one in is hard any recommendation on fixing it Glad you weren't hurt BE SAFE
Hemostats can be a big help but it doesn't being able to see what you are doing. So it never hurts to have someone help. Me too and I don't think I'll be making that mistake again. Rain, speed and bricks don't go well together. He second the bike was there and the next it wasn't.
@@BodyPiercingTattooing I am very lucky I trip on thin air , Going up stairs and that was when I was younger now sometimes I start out outside and just ( it's like fainting) go down We are trying to find out why Please stay safe
DaVo! I bought a pair of surgical steel hinged segment rings online (for earlobe piercings), but they’re so tight I can’t even get them open to use them 😅 Is this normal and what DIY solution do you recommend? Thanks!
I'm guessing that it is the type that is like a captive bead ring. There are still some manufactures and retailers that stock them and call them segment rings. The new style is just a simple hinge that clicks open and close. What you need is ring expansion pliers. Depending on where you are located they may have them at the local hardware store but if not, take a pair of clean needle nose pliers. Cover the tip with cloth medical tape and then place them inside the ring and pull outward. This should release the segment. Otherwise see your local piercer.
I recently got a septum piercing and I decided to try a new type of ring and all I know is it hinges and clicks when I close it. I've been struggling to get it out for a good few minutes and I actually cannot get it out. I have no idea what to do and as far as I know I don't have anything to lubricate it. Any ideas or tips?
@@BodyPiercingTattooing no... it's a hinged ring... it's so small and difficult to open... I managed to open it with scissors + a bit of tape, but that's probably no the best way
No I do not. When finding a piercer they should discuss the risks of rejection and migration. Also the fact that the jewelry can not be removed without the piercing being lost.
It is not normal to put a hinged ring in that piercing. Sure it isn't a seamless? They shouldn't have pierced with it and I have to say it is right up there with the last jewelry I would suggest putting in a smiley.
