Trouble with these trucks, and I'm talking 2020 model, is the computer can misread the road. Happened more than a few times on curved roads 70kmph and above whereby the computer freaks out and jams on all the brakes suddenly. This is very dangerous for the driver and traffic following behind! And it's embarrassing as you can't explain to anyone what happened. Same goes for any tight manoeuvring with a vehicle in close proximity to the truck. The brakes jam on unexpectedly. The staggering warning is annoying. It flashes in big red display across your dash with an alarm sound that freaks you out whilst zoning out on a long drive, and all because the road is a bit bumpy. Welcome to Australian roads. Bumpy roads are not uncommon. Other problems include fog malfunctioning the radar system which shuts off your cruise control, which is quite annoying. For some reason the cruise control cannot be set over 106kmph, which makes you a pain on SA regional roads. Within a year the power windows are playing up, and the hydraulic lifter for car carriage sprung a leak. The latter before 5000km. Went through a service and still wasn't fixed. The aircon just does not hold up against an Australian summer. Possibly the worst aircon I've ever experienced. Combined with poor insulation it's a sweatbox on a hot day with aircon on full and one person in the cab. It got so hot I poured 3/4 litre of water on the dash in some vain hope to humidify the air for relief and take the heat out of the plastic. That water pooled in the middle evapourated completely in just 1 hour. Turning circle is fantastic. Nice little truck but for a brand new model, there are issues that should not arise.
the 1426 is useless in New Zealand, why wouldn't they put a 6 ton axle in the front instead of the 5 makes it so uncompetitive in the market for payload when compared to the competition
