Insurance is a big scam in America and the dealers will want you also to buy a new model. The drivers in these countries will not want a modern truck with to many bells and whistles as they will not last long on the terrain and weather these guys drive on daily.

Im a panel beater and this is the shonkiest work ive ever seen. In the west it would be called criminal.

@@matton36 It isnt criminal if you know what you are asking for. Also in the west this job they did would have been close to a $100,000-300,000 labor. In the west a man whose battery protective cover was scratched for his battery on his EV car and car was totaled because the car dealership wanted to charged 60K to replace the battery even though the car cost him 58K less than a year ago... and again the battery was not damaged just the protective cover with maybe 1/4 indentation. The cover itself has more than an inch of space between the cover and battery, now this is criminal. Also guess what this truck is probably 50-60 years old and will likely last another 50 years. The drivers/owner will not want the modern trucks today unless you are willing to hand them a million dollars to maintain them because they will not last a few years on the terrain these guys drive.

@@temujinkhan6326 In the west we do things properly. Everything india knows was taught to them by the west and they still cant get it right. As for your claims on values for repairs they are inflated but even if they wernt, thats why we have insurance, we pay effectively ZERO. That Truck is also not 50 years old, its about 30, and no it wont last another 5 years because the they irreparable damaged the chassis, the truck will probably kill someone very soon.

@@matton36 you have the tools to do excellent work at your disposal. They don't, yet they work hard to repair as best as they can, I wouldn't call this criminal because they know what they are getting.

Pakistan is not a throw away society like America is. They don’t believe in wasting anything and might not have the money to buy new. I agree with their philosophy 💯. I wish America would start fixing old trucks and making them useful again. My hat goes off to these skilled and dedicated men.

this is partly true however ive seen similar videos of simil;ar work in 2 or 3 other countries where import tax on car and import restrictions also make these repairs viable even with higher labour costs

OK Jobsworth, they repair the best they can and do a brilliant job and it is pretty sustainable as opposed to 200k dollar insurance claims on similar trucks, no wonder insurance is high in the western world, pure scam along with bureaucracy and over the top regulation BS. Their resourcefulness here is second to no one. If they adhered to the western safety BS the job wouldn't be viable.

It's apples and oranges. These guys do a good job with prehistoric tools, but they can't compare to experts that are used to using the latest equipment. This wagon would not be allowed back on the road in the UK, and rightly so. It will have no structural integrity whatsoever, but they have to work with what they have. Why so salty? The repair was good enough, no need to be precise at the millimetre level here. They are hard workers and their conditions have them resort to ingenuity and whatever tools they have. The cost of these repairs is relatively cheap there, yet they ensure they fix things as best as they can with the means they have, and as fast as they can.

As some that has save a car from scrapping you are perfectly welcome to buy the hulk off the insurance company for pennies on the dollar at auction, and repair it yourself.................no one does though, and I only did because it was a car I wanted badly also it was just a blown engine not a major structural repair.
