My radio is off . And I am forever playing this style of hip-hop in my car at home at parties at barbecues and everyone loves it because they don’t mumble. There is actually a message in every verse Coris and overall album.
Man, would love to hear what it was like from a person like you. I wish I could time travel back and just experience a day or two of early-mid 90's NY.
Nothing compares to living through the mid 90s golden era as an adult/teenager... even on the West Coast shit was amazing, Pac to Ras Kass to Hieroglyphics to Cube to WC to Dogg Pound.. even the ATL had unique shit like Outkast, Goodie Mob, Mista...
It's really hard to realize what popular RAP became nowadays. Few days ago I rewatch De La Soul - Saturday clip and it made me cry a little bit. But We will always keep the tradidtions and remeber about true real Hip-Hop.
@E.M.P. 339 they just take too many drugs which are confusing their minds. Back then ppl were mostly smoking (if at all) which made them creative to produce dope songs. Now they just consume tone of crap and think they produce good sound. Where in reality its the biggest BS on earth ;D but yes you guys lost it ... not all but most. It's a problem with most when not all music genres atm. What do you expect of a spoiled generation ... the Spotify generation without a real music taste is also not helping the issue. Back then artists had their own style. Most of them also had to work hard to earn the respect and survive on the streets. Now artists have one song which gave them their breakout and after that everything of them sounds the same. The late 80s, 90s, and early 2k is my bubble in which I will stay and enjoy it with all you guys that love it as much as I do :) And from time to time we find some rare stuff that pops up and remembers us how it was back in the past when tracks of this mixtape were playing daily on the radio or MTV ;D
Nice to hear Two Outta Millions at 36:00 in a mix! Some of the finest Dutch Hip-Hop there is. They killed it with their 'For You 'n Yours' EP. The Dutch Hip-Hop scene was crazy before they started rappin' Dutch! Keep up the good work! Peaceeee
Peace God. A little sum from off the block. We pause to think a lot. Math and science fast like blinking of the eyes. Bright day and night. David use to sing with the birds up on mountain. Solomon use to talk to birds and queen Sheba knew about that too. Jesus ain't got a final resting place with a grave stone. I'm need a tomb like a womb. I been to Attica for behavioral modifications. I'm was in New York Rags from riches flew my kit.
