There are such great artists on this season and I've seen people make comments that Iam isn't versatile like the other performances, so he "doesn't have THE American Idol quality" -- BUT with the world we live in now, Iam brings that soul and tone that connects to so many people. His talent had to be shared to the world ❤❤ got me freakin crying like I never heard this song before 🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭😭😭💀💀💀💀 Malo Iam!!!
This year’s season of American idol sure has many great talented people but there is just that one or two that sticks out beyond all the others. Every song Iam brings on stage he makes it his very own with its own twist and turns that instantly just captivating to the ears!!
@@blueangel2717 He covered both. Both of his renditions are on movie soundtracks. Over the Rainbow was on 50 First Dates and What a Wonderful World on Meet Joe Black's soundtrack.
Yooo, i was crying in this performance and i didn't even realize it. There's something about him that's otterworldly and we haven't heard music like this since 80's, 90's and early 2000's music. I would still love him to do "More than Words" bc that song he will m*rder it. That's one of the best songs ever written..
You said it all! We feel every word he sings. Closing his eyes helps connect him with the words and to us. Last night Lionel told him that he has us from his first note. He has that rare ability to draw us in from the beginning to end. I think he's running away with the votes and the producers and judges all know it. Katie even said last night "When you win Idol..." This season is just a formality because he won from his audition.
Unbelievably proud of this amazing young man! He brought me to tears, and made me miss home! He is a breath of fresh air and deserves all the most wonderful things life has in store for him ❤️
The more times I play this, the more emotional I get because there is so much emotion it takes more than a few times to truly connect with the depth of what he is trying to convey. 💞💞
So Louis Armstrong released this song in 1967; Iz Kamakawiwo'ole blew it out of the water with his rendition of the song and then he meshed the song with Somewhere over the Rainbow. Iam didn't want to sing the song since it was on Braddah Iz's cover. Iam.. Braddah Iz is smiling down and he's proud of your rendition.. Iz is singing with the angels with his angelic voice that we miss terribly, but we got Iam singing to us here. Mahalo you tug and my heart strings Iam Hana Hou!
Loved it! I can't wait for each performance. His voice is velvet, but it's his soul that we connect with because he is genuine about his words. That matters for any good artist.
❤ Iam Tongi's Audition Is The Most-Viewed Of 2023 Season Tongi's audition has been viewed more than two hundred thousand times on Idol's RU-vid and more than 100 million across all of social media.
Our island superstar is slaying this Idol gig. Let’s go IAM. GO GET IT. 🙏🙏🙏 We’re here to support and back him up. Love and happiness for the channel brother and your every videos. 💯💯💯💯💯🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
This song wasnt his 1st choice, cause he didnt want to copy Bro Iz version..but some voice coaches suggested to do this song. So he did it similarly, w/some changes..
You need to hear the bradda IZ version and you see how they are so similar. I tell you if he should sing some over the rainbow it's another tear jerker😢
I think so cause there’s an international number. I never voted in American Idol cause I’m Australian too but I’m literally considering voting for Iam.
Iam Tongi has all my 30x votes. He has a very Unique, Beautiful Voice that’s unexplainable. I’m So Tired of the same old American Idol voices, if that makes sense? What do you think?
