Megadeth are indeed more creative in my mind as well, but Metallica is in no way more technical. Megadeth is FAR more technical when they want to be. Dave is a genius, and his intricate guitar riffing and harmonization in tandem with his fellow lead guitarist ( Marty / Chris / etc. ), backed up by the some of the most head smashing drumming you will ever listen to, are the hallmark of the Megadeth sound. Hangar 18 ( the next Megadeth song you should react to ) is a perfect demonstration of Megadeth's highly technical, instrumentation oriented approach to metal, which has always made musicians rate them highly.

Dave Mustaine is also a really cool guy. He helps out several inner-city programs and has a foundation to help children learn music. Awesome idea for musicians of all kinds and some other stars making sure the next generation gets to learn an instrument or singing to spark that love for music.

This clip is hilarious! From the second album, Megadeth is keen to launch promo videos on all his albums, and usually focuses on the more theatrical side of it. The way Dave sings, the lyrics, the melody of the song and his own guitar solo is great.
