No one else sounds like that and no one ever will...that's true. It's the uniqueness of Serj's voice and Daron's songwriting. They're truly a one of a kind band.
Sorry but you have no clue what are you talking about. There's nothing strange here. If you want something really strange you should check Mr Bungle, or Fantomas But SOAD is really good band of course and I'm glad Alex see this Good for him ;)
Manny Blackstar they’re one of my favorite bands behind Deftones and Slipknot! It’s hard to pick a favorite song from them but mine would probably be Here Comes the winner
No It is not. 😂😂😂 Listen to his attempt at covering ANY other band's song. He has a good voice for System of A Down, and that is it. He cannot sing anything else on key, or even sound like anything other than some who cannot song.
that's a statement that has my mind boggled. Technically Unique would imply more than rare Numerically it means Less than rare Emotionally, define rare ? like where do you draw that line anyways
Watching your reactions is cathartic for me - in two ways, specifically. Firstly, I grew up listening to rock and metal. My dad was in a garage band when I was a kid. This is my element. Secondly, it's like experiencing the genre for the first time all over again, albeit vicariously. It's also refreshing to see someone that does some research before their experience, and actually pulls up the lyrics. Keep it up, man - your videos are fun to watch.
I've been on a binge of reaction videos for the last few days, almost all of them about System of a Down (my favorite band for the last 15 years) and a few other rock/metal groups. I feel almost a guilty pleasure out of these, telling myself to just put the songs on directly, but not actually doing so. I think I'm reliving the sense of discovery that I had in my youth. When I see someone react to System with this energy, I feel the same excitement for the song that I don't get to have when I'm just listening to the albums in my headphones every so often. I'm surprised, but glad, that reaction channels like this one exist.
@@Gruncival No doubt. For Rock and Metal enthusiasts, it means a lot to see folks like Alex here, who might have been negatively biased in the past (or just uninterested for whatever reason) come around to the other side and actually enjoy it. It's also refreshing to see any kind of content created where the creator is an open-minded person and willing to dive into genres that are foreign to them. This is how I came to like various styles of EDM. I used to be all Rock and Metal - Techno and other electronic music was for nerds and weebs - but, all it took was one track on a Paul Oakenfold CD to change my mind and come to know the intricacies and the skill that's required to produce some of that stuff.
There's a guy on youtube who made a harder one . He listened to the expert mode one and said he can do better and he did I was in pain just to try to not headbang. First video in youtube for me if I search " Headbang challange"
I'm not even early, but as you took one suggestion from me some time ago, I have another one you'd definanely consider as super dope! You should definanely try "Powercore" by "Nekrogoblikon" - not only because the Vocals sounding like a damn Goblin, which is reaction-worthy itself, but only because of the Solo, which isn't played on a guitar, but on Bass, which sounds amazing! I always enjoy your content, mate - keep it up!
Hey Alex :D this is Simon from germany .. been watching your videos for 4 hours now, and first, i thought : Holy a strange hiphop guy with a locked mind (metal is bad blah blah just like all the other wanabehiphop dudes out there). But your way to comment and to rate these songs is really unique and nice to see. Btw its nice to see that a hiphop guy recieves the feelings and the atmosphere of those songs (especially metalcore like architects, or bmth) .. go on man!
He said his friend saw him making this thumbnail earlier, which has the hand drawn mustache face. The mustache face he made AFTER the comment was made. Am I missing something?
System of a Down was actually the band that started my path into metal music. That was around 2003-2004. Also used their song 'Soldier Side' as my alias since 2006.
As long as it's a PROPER mosh pit and not this stupid ass running around shoving and punching people... THAT'S NOT A MOSH-PIT PEOPLE, a mosh pit is people getting together and banging their fucking heads and NOT punching or shoving anyone.
Since I found this channel I couldn't help feeling good with all the good vives on each video and just he appreciation you show for each song. Keep it up Bother.
Really enjoying the reactions Alex, subbed for a 3-4 months now and always look forward to seeing what you'll react to next. Should check out the following: Wintersun - Sons of Winter and Stars (Live Rehearsal Studio) At the Gates - Blinded By Fear (Official) Dark Tranquillity - Focus Shift (Official)
Brah. I have been watching your vids since you first reacted to Slipknot (my favorite band). You introduced me to Jinjer ( I love them now) . The content that you put out is fantastic. Keep it up brah. BTW the way the moustache was a nice touch. Lol. Just a suggestion for you, check out Epica - Design Your Universe or Kingdom of Heaven. HAVE A DOPE ASS DAY!!!!
System of a Down - Hypnotize It’s the next ideal song by them that would make the most sense to react to next. Trust me you’ll be thoroughly pleased. It’s the perfect choice in my opinion.
System of a down that song that is like : banana banana banana banana banana banana terracotta terracotta banana banana banana banana terracotta pie !! it's dopee i like it :D strange asf for sure but cool
You must listen to Finnish band called Ghost Brigade. Their song, Clawmaster is absolutely beautiful. The song seems really hardcore at first but then the chorus is pure orgasm.
I know that this comment will go unnoticed but anyways... If you really want uniqueness, start listening to Kansas. In the early and mid 70's they were ahead of their times, they are so unique their sound is so unique, their music will totally blow-your-mind! I absolutely love your channel BTW., you are smart, you know lot of about music, its little and big things, your ability to comment about the music you just listened/watched after your every reaction...is unique (well as unique as one can be in this "super informative" social media era) you just got one more subscriber.
You blew me away when you said they're like Queen..cause I'v always said they are similar in the way, they are both theatrical. Love soad.cool reaction :-)
honestly, all i want is to see you react to mr. bungle, because that would be HILARIOUS. "goodbye sober day", maybe? or "none of them knew they were robots"! or you can go older and react to "travolta". anything would be great, tbh.
@@thedefenestrator2994 sounds good. But I was thinking more along the lines of ghost division, poltava, 7734, metal machine, metal Ripper, metal Crüe, masters of the world, carolus Rex, The Last Stand,The Lost battalion, ect.
If you like this kind of eclectic metal check out Mr. Bungle, Fantomas, Faith No More, or basically any of Mike Patton’s other projects. Not sure if it’s true but I remember this band coming out around the California tour of Mr. Bungle around 2000 and it seemed like Mr. Bungle was an influence.
Niiiiiice. SOAD was my favorite for years. Now Stop Teasing Me. React to Allegaeon: Proponent for sentience III the Extermination. Brutal riffing and excellent soloing and a mix of growling and singing. You want goosebumps, you get them.
