Growing up I was exposed to all genres of music. Country, Folk, Jazz, Metal and Rap then blues. I always appreciated the 80’s for what was paved for latter. LL Cool J, Ice-T, Everlasting, Kool Moe Dee, Rakim, KRS-One, NWA, Sir Mix A lot, and many more.

Rakim was definitely EM’s influence the cadence in his rapping is so evident in Eminem. Still loop Rakim today, his music and Tupac’s stand the test of time. But that’s not to say that there aren’t other artists that stand the test of time as well.
