Cloverworks really doing the choreography well. And yeah its amazing how WB can put all of this different themes in the series. Most people have the perception that delinquent animes should only be about fights and have strong characters and only revolve around them. WB is different. It revolves around many different characters with different personalities and traits and flesh them out beautifully.

Plot-wise Tokyo Revenger is more deep. Wind breaker is more simple, typical hero/friendship shonen anime. Animation-wise Wind breaker is leagues ahead of Tokyo revengers. Personally I like wind breaker more, especially the characters design.

@@stcardigan1257 Very true. If they did animation like this for people like Mikey, Angry, Draken and others when they had serious fights TR would be way better. Also, it'd be nice if someone taught Takemichi how to fight somewhat so we don't see him get beat up every time just to wait for someone to come in later. Their story is there but the fights need more impact in terms of animation and not just when someone gets knocked out.

I just think that if you're going to do an anime on a group of teens later becoming more dangerous than the Mafia in the future, then everyone in the Manji gang need to be very good fighters, have good resources on standby and connections to important people or have other groups they beat to be in charge if specific things. Like...i can't just sit and watch Angry, Mikey and Draken do everything all the time. Those 3 have been the most impressive in the gang(not saying the other captains aren't but those 3 stood out massively in comparison). I need to see a training timeskip to Takemichi, i need to see more of the general gang become better at fighting, animation needs to step it up, and that would fix the main issues in the show.

@@extremerok6765 Yeah TR got better and unique storyline but at some point it felt so repeatative cause of time travel,Like literally I started reading manga back in 2021 and stopped reading after tenjiku arc (I again started like this year and finished somehow) And here I catch up with Wind breaker manga and It got decent story,action,Character design,Their fighting styles are different,Got better protagonist (takemichi is good too tho,but I like sakura) So overall wind breaker takes,storywise TR takes

I really do love your reactions! I will say, I think TokyoRev is still better in terms of plot and storytelling. However, the animation, fluidity, and duration of fight scenes in Wind Breaker definitely blows TokyoRev out of the water. This is the attention to detail and care TokyoRev should've gotten. Sigh. It makes me happy you're acknowledging the better aspects of Wind Breaker without completely insulting and speaking down on TokyoRev like a lot of other creators do. Both shows have their strong points.

Nah Kisaki is a top tier antagonist, We haven't met Windbreaker own yet well I am hoping we haven't yet. Tokyo Revengers has some sick dark plots and amazing characters. Wind breaker MC is definitely cooler but it's too early to rate it over Tokyo Revengers for me. Story wise right now Wind breaker storyline is basically fighting. From first episode for Tokyo Revengers is time travel to save a girlfriend. By the 5th episode it was way deeper, his friend in the future killed himself because he couldn't live with the guilt. Wind breaker definitely has better animation but at this point story wise is straightforward

I completely agree with this. I feel like people are letting the fight scenes and the refreshing MC completely overshadow the amazing twists and turns TokyRev gave us. There's also not a lot of villains that can top Kisaki for me. No one's doin' it like him.

Honestly I respect it but as someone who didn't really vibe with Tokyo Revengers, I think it's perfectly fine to prefer Wind Breaker at this point. Sure the story itself is straightforward but there's nothing wrong with simple stories if they're executed well. Stories don't have to be dark, tragic or have grand plots to be good. Even outside the fight animation, the cast is endearing, the character interactions are great and the emotional beats have been handled well so far. Even little moments like Umemiya at the end telling Hiragi he'd wait until Hiragi himself wants to talk about his relationship with Sako was really nice. I'm also a sucker for found family in stories and Bofurin is basically one big family so it hits a sweet spot for me.

I love Tokyo revengers too, but I feel like wind breaker is one step above Tokyo revengers for me, not just cuz fighting It has a great MC, easily lovable characters, I don't know how to say that, but something in this show easily drag audiance to the story along with emotions, I like that. I finished the manga too it's by far a great story 💯 Forgot to say it's still ongoing 142 chapters released 😁😁
