This is a genuinely good movie. Intricate story, no script cringing, good acting, lots of action, funny at times, excellent execution. A real hidden gem.
Eh, I like Upgrade for the most part, but I dont like the ending. Though that's probably my general dislike for the Antagonist winning the day, which I view the AI as such.
@@kingrancelotti2362 Is it really inaccurate though? It's completely possible he never actually dies, and the reset happens before he does. Which by definition is immortality.
This movie was just plain hilarious!!! I always see Frank Grillo as a tough guy, or bad guy, but this movie was good to see him being placed in a funny movie, it made my day!!!!!
Trivia, 4:23 Frank Grillo's actual son Rio Grillo plays his son Joe 10:01 Mel Gibson accidentally hit Frank Grillo in the face, dislocating his jaw. Grillo didn't let on as he didn't want to slow up the filmmaking process. 8 hours later, a medic was able to reset his jaw ~ IMDb
I went into this movie not expecting a great deal but with an open mind, but I had no idea I would enjoy it as much as I did. 100% Boss Level type fun through-out!
I happened across this movie one evening and decided to play it while getting dinner prepped. Needless to say, dinner was delayed by an hour and a half. 😊
I'm glad for the recaps. It shows that there are STILL tons of good movies out there. Despite what we only see on the streaming services that are offered on the front page. If it was not for ROKU and recaps like this? I would have never known so many good movies exist in 2023. THanks!
Frank Grillo is an under rated actor! Dude played the bad guy really good in the captain America movie. It’s a shame they killed his character off so fast. Boss Level basically showed he has the chops to play a lead in a movie. Dude also is pretty good comedian too!
That scene was in the past. His character in the normal timeline died in civil war. He became the villain crossbones who blew himself up and was the catalyst to bring in black panther.
This looks like a true work of art. This is why I still have some faith left in the movies these days. This feels like a breath of fresh air after you step out of the packed stinky metro in rush hours
Love the movie and the idea of it being I love time travel but know it comes at a price because if you change the past you can and will change your future. So be careful what you wish for
I loved this movie.👍 It felt like a Deadpool movie without Deadpool. That sounds dumb, but I'm sticking with that. Characters, action and comedy blend was so damn good.
He is not immortal. He was just stuck in a loop, whenever he dies he comes back alive again and rewinds his life before he die, so he knows what will gonna happen next because he is a loop.
His ex wife is a monster...none of this would have happened if she focused her efforts on making virtual reality headsets that traps your consciousness in the virtual world instead of messing with time...this is absolutely preposterous.
I've seen this movie 5 times already and plan to watch it a ton more! Grillo crushes it as the protagonist, and the film makes terrific use of Boston's Foreplay/Long Time, in such a way that it is heard almost in its entirety. It is an amazingly fun time! Shout out to Mel Gibson as the heavy and Will Sasso knocks it outta the park as his right hand man. Throw in the legendary Michelle Yeoh and you've got a kicka$$ action movie with very little down time and a metric buttload of kills and quips.
I just want to say "THANK YOU" if it was not for this random UT clip I would have never known about this "BOSS LEVEL" gem , glad I watched it, tho the death/attempt counter was completely broken
@@cinequick so fix it. What’s the point of this if we can’t have the name your just wasting peoples time. Do it right or not at all, that’s not difficult to do
I watched, it, I bought it. What is so great about this movie is that it isn't trying to send a message, it isn't trying to social engineer us into irrelevance, no wokeness to be seen anywhere, it's just entertaining, exactly what a movie should be. I am Haruchai and Haruchai has written this. BTW, if you didn't know, his son in this movie is his son IRL.
Pretty bad how the sword woman is obviously taking multiple gunshots to the torso at point blank, but they “miss” somehow. Oh, and that’s a mini gun, not a heavy machine gun.
