@pyrofreak8 I admit that the way you think is very beautiful, it certainly provide you a lot of confort and I have no doubt it can be very attractive to others because it looks mysterious and grand. But yes reality is much more boring I give you that. Our parents genetically transmitted us some kind of random mix of their personality when the fusion of the sperm and the ovul happened. Maxine Perrin Well said. Being a performer myself I could not agree more. Besides when I perform it is as though I almost become oblivious to the audience, as I see myself playing for The King of Kings and Lord of Lords. I then want to make sure that I am always playing my best. I am sharing my gift with the Giver and the audience as well. I want the Lord to see he is getting a good return on the gift he gave me.
Exactly. I wonder what they think of David dancing before the king. God was pleased and I would almost classify that as a "performance" to please the King of Kings.
RolyRJ The Highest form of Praise & Worship is music and song. And if you have the gift of playing a musical instrument or a singing voice Glory be to God. You should use your gift to Praise Him. Why do you think most church services start with song and praise?. They are worshiping Jesus.
I have had the privilege of working with some very polished professional musicians. Because of their high degree of professionalism their playing/singing sometimes comes of as a attempt to impress people. I know the humble hearts of those performers personally. In all actuality they're just playing/singing performing etc. to the very best of their ability to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. I am of the opinion that just as God gave (and still gives) His best. Therefore he deserves our very best !!!!
