I’ve helped lots of people who have never benched or have very little experience and not a single one has ever lined up their fingers against the rings.

He may have fooled around on the bench, but he clearly doesn’t know how and he certainly isn’t trained. I should know since I have been training people for 30 years. My untrained BP @ 17 years old and 160lbs was 225 and I benched 350 @ 173lbs a little over a year later 100% drug free.
