I have a Vet friend who told me once that a lot of people with (undiagnosed) mental issues use pets as emotional crutches. These Chimps are victims of their owners and their myriad of mental issues. So messed up for those poor animals! 😒

The only reason I can think of (and I’m doing some HEAVY speculation) is that for some people, when you’re about to die, you just get really calm and chill even tho you are about do die. Thats the only thing I can think of.

Definitely thought to Elle is a standup comedian or writer. They put these dry ass folks on netflix and they are not funny. I dont want put anyone out a job but it makes me mad that people who think walking down the runway on fashion week is funny. When i know Elle B would have the people in stitches on a Netflix special. Definitely needs to be writing too because sit coms are just are just sitting

The mentioning of “The Women of Brewster’s Place” and “Gremlins,” baby I love it!😂😂😂😂 Yes, there are some potential serious mental health issues relating to these women and their chimps. Those wigs were about to take flight😂😂😂 I did not understand how she missed the way the wigs look, how her skin looks like a raisin….its just a lot.

Oh, I’ve been waiting on THIS! Ok, I’m back! My episodic take away and giveaways: 1. I was also wondering why Tonya’s hair was so damn disheveled. I can’t tell you what she said, saw, tasted or otherwise in that scene. Cause ALL of my attention was focused on her head. She looked like the Rugrats Cynthia doll before the Alopecia Areata. 2. Buck AKA the original Nuck If You Buck deserved good, better, best. 3. Yes, that 911 phone call from ol’ girl sounded like, “Hello, may I speak to Barbara?” “Barbara, this is Shirley…it was calm, cool and collected and cold- blooded. 3. I know the scene with the swat team traumatized you but just be happy they didn’t play another old school jam like Backstabbers or Neither One of Us by Gladys. James Brown was enough!!!

Buck's story was so sad and then how she kept yelling it has to be a headshot. That woman was pure evil to treat him the way she did after love bombing him. That was so foul and i honestly feel like they should have charged her with animal abuse and neglect. She kept him confined and then you put those shock collars on him. She definitely set the daughter up bc what did she expect him to do if he ever got out he was going to flip out after doing all that to him.

hi ElleBee, you crack me up! I watched this show last night because of your reviews and T(!), I could not believe how calm Tamara was when she called 911 after her daughter was almost killed (is even ok now?, I hope so), and just like you, I would need a trauma translator if I was trying to call 911 if my family member was assaulted, this show is so messed up, but so far I have not been able to look away. This show is a train wreck, just like Tiger King. I hope these people keeping these animals in such terrible conditions all get arrested.

When we would stay at Maxine’s house and she was a character who always said “ Mandy I’m going to make groceries. What would you like to eat?” Preach Elle. I can't get over how Tonia's reasoning for stealing him was because he wouldn't survive being sedated and moved....but she sedated him and moved him. Like no need to keep lying now. Just say you want the chimp. 😂😂

New subscriber here--I love your videos, they are hilarious and on-point. I have a recommendation for you, it's a crazy documentary called "The Imposter." It's about a full-grown French-Algerian man who successfully pretended to be a missing 13-year-old from Texas and fooled the kid's entire family...or did he? It's from 2012 and it's free on Amazon and Peacock now. I have seen it twice and it still boggles my mind. I'd love to hear your commentary on that scenario!

Like you said it's ok when they're young but when they are full grown they are very dangerous. These people have mental issues and they're projecting onto the poor chimps. I can't believe one person raised their daughter with one. The daughter probably thinks that's normal🤦🏽‍♀️😂I have to catch up on it!

I got frustrated because this phenomenon of “people” being enmeshed with animals is clearly a danger to themselves and society and yet, no one talked about the need of mental healthcare!!! My focus is more on humans here. Like wtf!

Agreed. Nobody ever talks about the need for mental heath care, which is why we have so many of the kinds of problems we have today. I work in that field so it's extra frustrating for me.

I'm big mad at you. After watching your videos, I had to see it for myself. Tonia looks like Mona from Something About Mary. I think she believes that she is helping Tonka. It is true that primates raised by humans can't be put back in the jungle. Must sanctuaries keep chimps like Tonka separate from the other ones and try to rehab them and slowly introduce them into the population. Either way believe the folks at the sanctuary are better suited to handle his situation than Tonia. It is ashame as that these poor animals were put in this situation in the first place.
