I also operate a transitional housing program from one of my rental units. But I never heard of the housing program covering the cost of repairs and such. I operate a rent-by-the-room house for an organization that's funded by the county which specializes in helping the low income population who are at risk of becoming homeless. The house is a 3 bedroom, which generates $1,500 per room, $4,500 per month. It's a great program to get into if you ever get a chance to do it because you're doing two things; 1. You're helping your community by helping the people who really need help. And 2. You're making good income.

@@MyraJohnson-v4g not every county offers these types of programs. I have rental homes in two different counties right next to each other and found out one county has 3 separate organizations which has variations of low income housing programs while the other county only has 1 organization that offers a low income housing program but no transitional housing rental model. So it's hit and miss, you have to do a lot of research in the county you're located in.
