If this movie isn’t based on me and my 2 other sisters’ life. Our dad passed away from cancer 6 months ago and the 3 of us took care of him until he took his last breath. We all rotated shifts and I was the one who kept popping out kids lol. This film was meant for us. Thank you Netflix.
I can attest that it can be quite healing to find a connection with something like that! For me it was The Green Knight, which released almost on the anniversary of my father's passing. It was exactly the sort of film he would have loved stylistically, and that it starred Sir Gawain was even more special given my father's name (Gowan). He loved to point out that the pronunciation of his name was also the "correct" pronunciation for the knight (historians are split on that)...when I first saw the film and realized that the filmmakers had indeed gone with the "Gowan" pronunciation (which I had never once heard for Sir Gawain in any media before), I teared up something fierce. I hope this film lives up to the setup and touches you in a similar way. Condolences on your loss, and all the best to you and your siblings!
@@KateVenhuis 2nd season was one of the few shows I didn't skip the intro, Iris Dement's song "Think I'll just let the mystery be" has been haunting me.
I suppose they wouldn't cast the oldest actress as the youngest or even the middle. So what you can tell from this trailer is really just who is the middle and youngest😅
Well coming from my three sisters experience. We were the opposite. The middle sister is married and owns a house. The youngest and I don't really have our shit quite together.
have you ever seen the film raising helen? u could also tell whos the oldest and youngest cause just like this film they cast actresses that look their age to play their sibling counter parts
This feels like my life. Me and my sisters lost our dad in July 24, it wasn’t exactly like this (he’s been suffering for seven years and was in a care home) we missed the moment he died. we were on our way to visit him. It’s still raw and this was painful to watch but so cathartic. Thank you for this beautiful portrait of death, compassion and grief shared among siblings and the impact it makes on your mental health.
@@shougokawada8491Often the plays are that and this doesn’t necessarily translate to the screen. Movies are about action in motion and movement. Granted, movement is interesting when shaded with stillness, moments to catch one’s breath, but there must be something more than stillness. Nonetheless, this looks interesting and the acting looks compelling enough to create interest.
@@josephmanno4514 love how you called the person 'someone with no depth' yet could not disprove what they said. that is because it is true, just a movie about people talking, and you know what these films do not do well in the box office, most audiences dont find it intresting so what now the majority of the population has 'no depth'.
Another movie where they leave the hope of Jesus out of everything and it's just "the end". Sad sad sad sad....... "1 Thessalonians 4:18 So then, give comfort to one another with these words. And so we shall be with the Lord for ever. Therefore encourage one another with these words."
@justmejenny7986 im also the oldest of 3 sisters and this hits so close to home! Our mom passed from cancer 10 years ago and we are currently the ones taking care of our grandmother…I cry enough in real life so think I’ll pass on this one 😂
