Really want3s get the u7k, but both the 55" and 65" in south africa are only covered with a 1 year warranty. BUT the u8k' a have a 4 year warranty. Wtf!? Guess I'll HAVE to get the u8k 😅

I got the 85inch model on Amazon in India for 1500usd. I think nothing comes closer to price performance this Tv has. I have this in my living room and I have a Sony a80j in my bed room and except for like very well shot movies with lots of dark scenes the mini led with costs half as much as my oled for double the size is actually better and it’s unbelievable

You are comparing oled with mini led and saying it's still looks good... But the thing is 65 and 75 inch are ips and I wonder how good those two are

@@runcdanger I’m assuming the 85 is also ips. But the 85 has significantly higher zones and the panel is from the u8k I suppose not sure. I have not seen the smaller models side by side so I can’t say but the increase in the zones should compensate for the va panel. I don’t find any blooming wat so ever in my Tv. Yes picture quality of oled is not be all and end all. As I said 80% of the content out there does not take advantage of oled. Colourful action movies and animations from the likes of Disney or even a movie like Gemini Man is for the bright screen. Whereas series like the peaky blinders will show the inky colour of oled. So for the former types a bigger and brighter screen is more impact-full hence 80% of real life content looks better on the 85inch mini led than the 65inch oled. But movies that are shot for the dark screen could never look as good as they look on a oled on anything. Cheers

Depends on the size of the TV. You will find IPS Panel for above 75“. Below 75“ you will find a VA Panel

Import tax . USA 🇺🇸 models made in Mexico ,,, there is trade agreement …. Mutually beneficial. N they drive cross boarder easy . Not like Malaysia 🇲🇾 prob have to import from China. With boat n docking fee reloading etc . 😮n heavy tax . 2000 extra for U7 is how much Canadians , UK , Australians pay. ONLY usa 🇺🇸 has cheapest for that panel they r huge market n has special agreement n convenient shipping 😊

I hope u get U7K . U7k is literlaly match to SONY X93L even out perform X93L X85K is bad -- it’s not Mini led. It’s not Full Aaray Local dimming . It’s an edge lit , LED. Edge lit is still QLED but the like d VERY low starting Old QLED technology they used as premium starting 2010

Anything SONY on the 90 level yearly r usually Significantly lower than Hisense U8 . The U8 n tcl top tier evey year compete with Sony Flagship . So last 1 or 2 Sony’s 90 n lower tier start to go below Hisense U7 !!!! 😮😮😮 Hisense n TCL panels r insane !!!

I did buy U7K, and after settings and calibrations, the screen is excellent. My only mistake was I didn't buy it in 65 inches. I bought it in 55 inch. Only other issue I'm having is trying to figure out the settings for PS5 to get 120hz.

Cuz the Sony x85K is like the 2010 technology SONY has been selling EDGE Lit since 2010 (ironically SHARP invented LED TV selling them 2009 2010. 100% SONY’s LED n BRAVIA were produced by SHARP slapping a SONY LOGO). Hisense U7K so much more Advanced :) Hisense Bought SHARP Tv brand in 2014 too (later Sharp parent company bought it back) .

Vida? I have Google tv for my OS... This is what the US market gets. Not Vida. Shame, Vida looks very good. I bought the 65 inch version of this off amazon for 749.99.. Also they gave me free payments with 0 interest for 6 months. Easy choice!

Is this an Australian review? I saw the ABC Iview app on the screen so I'm guessing this is the Australian model. Perhaps you should tag the U7KAU model number as many of us are interested in the differences in spec to what is reviewed in North America, which is hard to pin down by using Hisense's own websites, and there really isn't much for reviews of the local model, nothing about panel type, dimming zones, processors. A friend just purchased a U7KAU and is really pleased. I own a 2017 LG C7 OLED with permanent Kayo Sport and RU-vid logos burned into it (You only notice it on yellow to red backgrounds) that no amount of pixel refreshing will fix, so I would have a Mini_LED TV rather than go through the OLED burn-in again as I find I spend too much time on sites like Kayo and RU-vid which have static images (red seems to be the culprit).

I love ❤love ❤Hisense . I was Sony snob. I still own Sony XM3 XM4 ear buds ($600 together) . Hisense has 100 % destroyed integrity of Sony TV ! In my house hold n bunch friends , they started buying Hisense flagship 8 7 series ! U sit there 12 months feel like u watching $$3000-$4000 tv strange ! U get rush just knowing it ! Ppl will make fun of it , they just tech stuck up over brand . I am into innovation. Hisense 60 yr old company its Frigin TIME 😊

They are Junk. They can't do motion they suck at upconverting. Their PQ processing sucks too. Hisense cares about brightness washed out pictures with deep blacks that can't be processed correctly without microblocking like crazy. Get a real Sony tv for once and you'll actually know what your talking about.

As an owner (2nd replacement) I can vouch for the fact that, like all other TV's, the internal sound sucks ass. Bright scenes are amazing. Dark scenes washed out and at times it appears as if the TV just guesses at what palette of colours it should display making images appear at times to be cartoon like & unreal. SD looks like shit on this & indeed any TV 55"+. Some 'live' HD TV Channels can be awful also but this depends on how much compression is being used & the age of the material. That said I never saw the wash out I see on this TV on my old 55" 3D LED TV. If you leave the settings on this TV at their factory settings then this TV performs reasonably well for most but content has to be uncompressed & of good quality. The old saying cr@p in cr@p out.

Nice guess what their is no content at all that requires more than 60hz unless you are 4K Gaming with a PS5 or XBOX X And then it depends on the game as well. So having 120hz 4k is useless in every day tv viewing.

@@damontroch4765 Yes content wise won't need anymore than 60hz as any more would actually make the content more "unnatural" and borderline unwatchable. But you answered yourself with the gaming bit. And some people do PC gaming with their TVs. Plus if your main concern is watching content, focus more on the panel technology ie Mini led, etc for the best experience. It's not about the hertz
