HiStar AURORA AIR Cast Test... Is It a One Trick Pony??? 

So I've just been on the water for an hour to test my new Histar Aurora Air BFS. What can I say, I'm really excited about the role and together with the HANDING Magic L 1.68m Casting UL-F 1.5-9 grams 👍👌 I tested the roll with the standard bearings of my new hybrid ceramic Bearings are still on the way…☹🙄 Spooled with 0.23 mm Fluorocarbon from (FTK) and fitted with a 3 gram dropshot lead. Now the settings for the dynamic 3D magnetic brake system are at 3 and for the external brake system I am at 2.5, I get a throw range of 38 meters. I don't think that's that bad for a start... unfortunately it's still closed season 🙄 otherwise I would have preferred to use real bait to throw...

Also I get over 75 foot casts with a 2 gram and above lures with no problem internal on 2 and external on 2 1/2 to 3.

I'm trying to get into the BFS world, I was thinking in the Aurora Air BFS and the SoloKing Acura BFS, which one would be better for like 1.5g to 3g lures.

Mine is definitely different from yours. As this reel might be known for now: varying quality. I have tightened down the main shaft to handle axel. Because some of the slop is there. There is still a little between ar bearing and reel house, that I haven't done anything about. But doesn't feel any of that while fishing it. I also put ballbearings and shimmed up the handle knobs. I have about 50;hours of use on mine. And it's only gotten smoother. The retrieve is silky, and with no inertia. And it casts like a dream. And my spool bearings don't make that hizz sound at at all when casting. Mine lays line really nice. It's the best reel I have. My Acuras, and micro monster are tighter, but I cast further with this one, and easier. I have my internals on 3 all the time. And my externals usually between. 0-3. If they could guarantee a second purchase would be like this one. I'd buy a second in a heartbeat . And it's so ergonomically lovely to palm. It's like fishing with my hand.

I know there are 6-7 people that have this reel other than myself. They all have mentioned the handles slope. The problem is in the tolerances for the main shaft bearings and anti reverse bearing to the reel housing. But if you put shims between the bearings and housing you can get rid of the play in the handle

Hello, colleague. Thank you for the interesting review. However, I think that the test of the reel can be continued. Try putting the internal brake switch in position 0 or 1, and the external control in position 2 or 3. This will allow you to make sharper and stronger throws, without bird nests. Then your jerk bait (5g) will fly much farther than in this video.

I enjoyed the video, I havn't used mine for anything over 1.5 grams so far so it was fun seeing how it would handle a little heavier lures. I like the casting of this reel with the light lures but am almost scared to actually catch an angry stocked trout here because of a few of the noises I hear when I retrieve it lol. I should pull this one back out and give it another shot though, it is fun to fish with.

I could not figure out why use a baitcasting setup to fish lure lighter than 1/4oz.

You think your the best at reel testing? I never brag on myself, I give my thanks to God for allowing me to enjoy fishing and for every fish I catch. I can do nothing without God.

I heard the tolerances and built quality aren't so great; it feel very cheap and plasticky
