Thank you for doing this, I've had 3 melanoma's and a lump now has formed near an old site that I had surgery on and I'm trying to gather information before I see the Oncologist next week. I hope the lump is just a fatty benign tumor. All of mine were Clarks I or II, so I was very fortunate.
thank you, Very well presented . laymans key to detecting a melanoma is look for ANY change in a mole . unfortunaely the nodular melanoma presented at the begining often begins vertical dermal invasion early. micro mets are probably present
of course, if the new "scar tissue" really turns out to be melanoma on microscopic examination, prognosis could be guarded long term many melanomas can respond drastically well to immunotherapy wdc
What, or are there any key visible characteristics of malignant melanoma in the cells during a skin biopsy that separate themselves from healthy skin tissue?
I wonder if I get answer after so many years? What exactly is the melanin inside the cells? I see cells rounded by dark violet color and inside is cell nucleus of dark violet color. The rest of the cell is usually white that means nothing more visible is seen there. Where is melanin? Some of the cells have additionally small violet points spreaded in the cytoplasm around the nucleus. Is this melanin or are these some organelles?
god help this person. THAT is cancer. Heaven forbid, this person is either dead or in serious trouble. Thank you for these videos. That is an invasion that the body cannot stop. That is awful. That one tumor has probably reached every organ outside the brain, heart.
