The name of Malta comes from the Ancient Greek. It was named Melita , meli means honey in Greek. It was name like that because of the bees there. Love Malta from Greece 🇲🇹❤️💙🇬🇷

@@EntCal07.
Im maltese and this is just 100% accurate , literally everyone wanted the islands bec of our position, so maltese is a pretty diverse language. Examples: Bye: caw (ch a w) - Italian - ciao Good Morning: Bongu (B o n j u) - Italian / French Bongiorno/Bonjour Friend: Habib - Arab - Habibi
It's mostly Arabic/Italian, those are the majority. But spoken modern Maltese has allot of English words integrated, with of course, the dumbass Maltese accent. That accent is the best thing we have. Next to it is Easter. Happy Easter I guess... lol.
Me encantan tus vídeos. Saludos!
I guess Malta is the only country to be awarded a medal - the George Cross and it is put on the flag as well. King George VI awarded Malta the George Cross for the people's bravery on April 15th 1942. It has the three bi planes Faith Hope and Charity and they managed to shoot down several enemy planes despite having one shot down. If Malta invaded then I guess it would be part of Mussolini's Italian empire but they failed to take it. The Queen as Princess Elizabeth went to Malta for a few years with her new husband Prince Phillip after their 1947 marriage on his naval posting. It's nice of Malta to remain a member of the Commonwealth.
