Rick Perlstein, author of "Nixonland: The Rise of a President and the Fracturing of America," delivered a public lecture at the Annenberg School for Communication recently. Mr. Perlstein is a senior fellow at the Center for American Progress and is widely recognized as an accomplished historian of American conservatism.

Nice fact check. Still love his 4 books on conservatism. They are like crack for political junkies. I especially like his wide range of sources, including letters to the editor which are somewhat underrated for their glimpses into the pulse of the times…I tip my cap to Perlstein.
