Agree. If court hadn’t interfered, Gore might well have won. Imagine if that was Trump in Gore’s position. Him and his cult circus clowns would’ve rioted in the streets for months. Gore conceded like the adult he is.

The problem is we could be teeing up for another election in which the Supreme Court interferes in a highly partisan manner.

The count was later completed. Gore won Florida , too, but the count was not completed before the required certification date thanks to the SCOTUS halting the count so they could make the election all about themselves.

He made his corrections since then and it wouldn’t go far nowadays. Hopefully ordinary people have gotten smarter since then, we honestly were very naive in 2000 pre covid, trump, 9/11, recession, war, pre Jan 6th, pre 2016 pre 2020

He didn't really predict Trump though. He predicted a Trump victory only in terms of the popular vote. He changed his criteria to the electoral college after the fact. He was much more correct than the pundits, which shouldn't have been shocking except to Democrats living in a bubble. His model is interesting and worth studying, but he's not as correct as he claims, neither about Trump (victory by the Electoral College), neither about Gore (who simply lost New Hampshire, which disproves his model, since Lichtman argues from the view of systemic stability, and yet New Hampshire went to Bush by over 1%, when Clinton won NH both times (10% and 2%), meaning Clinton had a mandate that Gore couldn't hold up in a TIPPING POINT state). Lichtman is worth reading, but his arguments are all proven by way of revision and hindsight manipulation. He's more correct than a nerd like Nate Silver

@@Hello-cm8eb No, it's 10/10. 2000 and 2016 were not the same. In 2000, Al Gore was the rightful winner of both the popular vote and the electoral vote. The only reason he didn't become President was because the votes in Florida were incorrectly counted and because the SCOTUS stopped the recounts. It was a stolen election. In 2016, according to the rules, Trump did win the electoral vote. It's an absolutely terrible system for that to be able to happen when he lost the popular vote, but 2016 was a result of the system, whereas 2000 was a result of cheating.

Well duh Chicago is the most known city in Illinois and has a super high concentration of democrats. It automatically makes the state blue. Illinois always ends up blue. Easy, only one key would change and the incumbent key which would move from Trump to Biden. The rest would remain the same. According to the keys Biden had a better chance than Harris. Note that polls, debates and age is not a factor in any keys. what people think has no effect on the keys either.
