Historic day: Mitty wins boys, girls NorCal D1 soccer titles 

Archbishop Mitty captured the NorCal Division I boys soccer title at home on Saturday, beating league rival St. Francis 4-1 in penalty kicks after the teams tied 2-2 through regulation and overtime. Hours later in the Sierra foothills, Mitty won the NorCal D1 girls title, edging Del Oro 5-3 in PKs after the teams played to a scoreless draw.
