Historic Haymarket District, Lincoln Nebraska 

Originally an open air market for livestock and produce the Lincoln Haymarket District is now a tourist destination. Located in downtown Lincoln, Nebraska this historic neighborhood is filled with wonderful things to do, great restaurants/bars, and extensive shopping. Lincoln makes use of this beautiful place throughout the year. Whether it is for a farmer's market during the spring/summer months, entertainment for the kids during Halloween or Christmas times, or for Chocolate Lover's in February there is usually something going on at the Haymarket. You can take a self guided tour by going to lincolnhaymarket.org on your phone. Almost 50 historic buildings are included on the tour list. The neighborhood is on gentle slope and buildings have ramps but this is an OLD neighborhood sometimes the access for wheelchair users will be in odd locations. Everyone is helpful if you don't see the ramp just ask.
