3 sept 2014 - Second chapter of the Historic knife series. Here I present the "Premier Lifetime H 42 Original buffalo skinner" Made in Sollingen Germany.
Hello LT, I was doing a little research tonight on a US fighting knife (RH-36) and I also have an H-42 Original Buffalo Skinner as well. It belonged to my father, left to me. I always admired this strikingly handsome knife as a child. I still do. Like you,I know virtually nothing about them.
An awesome knife indeed. If Wikipedia had existed then we would know it all but such was not at that time. Your RH-36 doest it have the pin of the american style or the nut like the one i review? Thanks for watching.
I have found this knive in a junkyard and wondered what it was. Thanks for the information. Mine has the French logo insert and has the buffalo on the case.
I have one that was given to me by my father in law before he died and it's a knife that I treasure, the one that I have had been used and it has like a wire handle on it
Hey, I have the exact knife u showed on here, the "Original Buffalo Skinner", it's the exact same knife, I have the case for it too, the same one, with the elk on it, the knife's in great shape, and so is the case, and it has the Fleur de lis in it too. Do u have any idea what it would be worth, jut roughly, it was left to me by my Dad, I would NEVER sell it, I will keep it and give it to my Son. But I was wondering if u knew how much they are worth? Thanks very much. Great video by the way.
H42 Original Buffalo Skinner also referred as scout(youth group) knife and it was also use by Hitler's youth during the WW2 with a swastika in the inlay. Instead of the "Fleur de Lis" inlay
