The port city of Honfleur is located in northwestern France near where the river Seine meets the English Channel. It is a beautiful historic and artistic city with a connection to Canada. It is from where Samuel de Champlain set sail to explore eastern Canada between 1603 and 1607. It is also from the same port that he set sail to found the city of Québec in 1608, the oldest city in Canada. A big thank you to Crystal for providing some photos and videos for this post.
