I was excited to do this video! It's been about 10 years since I visited my beautiful hometown of Savannah, GA. This time I played tourist while I was there. Savannah is such a beautiful city with so much history everywhere you look. And then I ended my visit with a visit to the beach of Tybee Island right outside of Savannah. It's been a while since I've seen a beach also!

Hi Sarah 🌻 love the South. Those old houses reminds me of New Orleans St. Charles with the street cars. The beach and baby gators were cute at least while still little. The Crab shack looked so good & old friends are the best ! Thanks for the beautiful tour! 🍑 🌻

That was a wonderful video of your hometown Sarah. Thanks for sharing all the places of this beautiful city that I'll probably never get to see. Tybee Beach was nice, and it was cool that you took the riverboat cruise. The brick roads and sidewalks are awesome and so pleasing to see other than just plain old asphalt and concrete.

Sarah, Thanks for posting this! I 'm a relatively new subscriber to your channel, so it's taking me a while to work through your adventure videos. I am from Savannah too, I grew up on East 39th street where it dead ends very close to Thunderbolt. (Went to Jenkins H.S. over on DeRenne Ave.). This video brings back many memories and I learned some new things too! Thanks again for posting!

Some of the pictures just don’t look real, I guess that’s what happens when you live in the desert and see rocks all day ! LOL ;). Like everyone else really enjoyed your tour and the (squares). Fascinating stuff and you learn something new everyday. Thank you for bringing us along and glad to see the Jeep is back on the road.

Your 'sped up' footage of the river walk reminds me of old timey street footage of the turn of the last century. It's funny how over a hundred years later, archivists are using technology to 'slow' those old films down to give a more realistic appearance while RU-vidrs today are doing the exact opposite!😂 Sorry for the tangent, Jeepsy. What a beautiful place that produced a beautiful person - you!❤

Used to be a club called Stone Henge. Disco in the late 70's. Used to be another one along the river called the Bores nest. Guess they are history by now?

Sara, a trivia about the Savannah squares: ALL those streets run perfectly north to south & east to west. Making perfect squares.. well planned ! NOT like Atlanta !!

Too bad I couldn't have been there could have gave you some real history on Savannah victory boulevard's got the oldest cemetery with some of the oldest Graves River Street used to be cobblestone I think it still is on one end I used to go there when I was only three nightclubs on River Street and I also helped build the new bridge I suppose you saw it a lot higher so they don't have to dredge the river so much for the big ships to get in I've said it North Beach on Tybee a lot as the sun goes down and done some serious meditation yes Toby and Savannah are like my second home had I known I may have tried to be there since I'm only 3 and 1/2 hours away but oh well and you did miss out if you did not eat at the pirate's house in Savannah right close to River Street world acclaimed restaurant little pricing but well worth it love their food usually get the Neptune's platter broiled or fried glad you enjoyed yourself😊👍😉🐝

Lived here all my life… used to be the best. These northern folks are buying it all up. Why can’t they adopt our southern hospitality and way of life. My friend is getting sued by these New Jersey folks because he left trash can lid open. They say they would have sold property that day if his nasty trash can would have been closed!… never said a word about it b4 and never really spoke to them b4. Just kinda to themselves.. be nice or go back where u came from!

Good Military joke but ture story. 1994 or around that time I was work at Savannah Illinois Army Ammo Depot. Was inspecting and working on S&P Trailers for military transportation Unit. So the Army Unit loaded up all their Trucks that hook up to these trailers onto rail flat cars and shipped from Minnesota to Savannah Illinois, well the people who where waiting for the equipment to arrive didn't get them but they received notice that they had arrived. So the Army was going nuts trying to find their equipment, because they were about to get bus load of Army Drivers and Assistant Drivers. The Unit had to rush and find another Unit that they could barrow until they found their equipment. So with the barrowed Trucks the Unit started doing their mission but a couple days late. The mission was hauling all the ammo from Savannah Illinois to some where south to be destroyed because of its age. Some of it was Civil War Ammo. Anyway, a week went by and they found the Trucks, they were on a side rail down in Savannah Georgia. So they got the Railroad to bring the Equipment back to Savannah Illinois
