Short video of a tree damaged both by decease and storm damage on January 1st 2024 in Littlemore, Oxford. We've taken a slab of the tree and will build something to commemorate both the tree and the Life of John Henry Newman who served the people of Littlemore.

Dont let it dry out too quick ! keep it in the shade and cold / outside probably best / don't heat it up to quick 👍

Thanks for this, I'll raise it of the ground and allow air to circulate, but keep it outside. Does look like drying the wood will take over year!

Thanks for posting this. I think it would be a lovely idea to make something to reflect St John Henry Newman's Catholic faith. Maybe a crucifix? Thanks

That's a great idea! Will certainly do that, and perhaps donate to the church where he was priest. Sad to see it go though.
