No son latinos. A los filipinos mestizos los mataron los japoneses durante la masacre de Manila, que ocurrió durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Y además, en Filipinas ninguna lengua romance es oficial, incluyendo al español, que lo mantenían vivo los filipinos mestizos. Pero como he dicho, los mataron a casi todos. En cualquier caso, los Argentinos sí compartís historia con los Filipinos, porque formábais parte del mismo imperio, después de todo.
Btw the K.K.K. in the Philippine flag back then is not a racial thing, it is a flag used by the Filipinos when Spain occupied the Philippines it was a flag mostly used by freedom fighters known as the K.K.K. which means: Kataastaasan, Kagalanggalang, Katipunan (I dont know what it means in English so I can't translate it, sorry). The Katipunan are basically the members of the group fighting against the Spanish.
Each word means Highest, Respectable, Gathering/Coalition in literal terms but when you put context in it it would be "Respectable in the Highest Order, Katipunan" wherein Katipunan was used as a name for the organization
Yes, the Katipunan was a nationalist group seeking independence from an Empire while the Ku Klux Klan was a gentleman's club hijacked and turned into a Protestant white-supremacist terrorist group aimed at terrorizing and murdering immigrants and Catholics and Jews. The only similarity between the two groups is that both were founded by Freemasons (Albert Pike, the "Supreme Pontiff" of Freemasonry was the first head of the Klan when it became a racial terrorist organization, and Andres Bonifacio was a Freemason himself and modeled the Katipunan after the Freemasonic structure in opposition to Spanish rule and the Catholic Church).
I'll try to translate it: 'Kataastaasan' (root word: 'taas', which mean's 'high') can be translated as 'highest'; 'kagalanggalang' (root word: 'galang', which means 'respect') can be translated as 'respected'; Katipunan (root word: 'tipon' can be translated as 'collection'; but isn't used the same way the word 'collection' is used in English) Which means 'gathering' or 'assembly'. Their full name is: Kataastaasan, kagalanggalang katipunan ng mga anak ng Bayan. Which I will translate as: 'highest, most honourable assembly of the Nation's children' (it sounds a bit weird in English)
@@James-en1ob That IS the literal translation of the Katipunan. And for a non-Tagalog speaker, that's amazing. Take it from a Visayan, your translation is great!
The KKK is a flag used in Filipino Revolution against Spanish Empire in 1896 "Kataastaasan Kagalanggalangang Katipunan" KKK for short Other Variations of KKK flag is used by each paction in different parts of the Country during the revolution
@@superguy199 you mean the one where people wear white dresses with white cones and burning crosses as a tradition? That kind of different? Edit: I know that there is a different kind of KKK. I only made this comment as a joke so please stop reminding me.

0:08 Unfortunately, that red flag with a sun identical to that on "Sol de Mayo" isn't the true Biak-na-Bato flag. The real design is supposedly a red flag with a sun having eight two-pronged rays, and each ray is separated by another ray which is just thin but spiked one. It has Baybayin inscription "ka" in the sun. 0:09 So this is what I'm talking about. It is commonly used by the NHCP, especially their Museo ng Paglilitis ni Andres Bonifacio, while presenting a tidbit from the Philippine Revolution, particularly the Biak-na-Bato history.
The KKK flag has no connection with the Ku Kux Klan. KKK in the Philippines stands for "Kataas-taasan, Kagalanggalangan, Katipunan ng mga anak ng bayan" or "Supreme and venerable association of the children of the nation"
The flag was used by a notable katipunero General named Mariano Llanera. Andres Bonifacio, the founder of KKK (Kataastaasan Kagalanggalangang Katipunan ng mga anak ng bayan), allegedly called it as the "Bungo ni Llanera" (Skull of Llanera)
Fun Fact: at 0:12 the KKK in this instance isn't the white supremacist cult we all know and hate, but it stands for *"Kataastaasang Kagalanggalangang Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan"* and this was a Philippine revolutionary society that fought against Spanish colonialism, and it was founded in 1892

I was getting confused about the foreign flags. But then again, we got colonized and was an unnamed archipelago until Magellan came. Edit: Everyone corrected me about these mistakes. I meant about how the country was named Philippines but someone told me Philip didn't came. But I was told Philippines was coined from the name Prince Philip.
If anyone asks what does KKK means. It's a secret revolutionary group who were against the Spaniards back at 1890's, trying to fight against oppresion and unjust acts by the colonizers for independence. The KKK refers to Kataastaasan, Kagalanggalangang Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan or in English: Supreme, Honorable, Congregation of the Children of the Country. It aint racist btw
We're tired of getting colonised goddammit we got into war with 5 colonial countries 3 of which majorly affected everything We're now colonising the comments section
The people that don't know what the "KKK" means on the Filipino Flag, Its not racist, It means Kataastaasan Kagalanggalangang Katipunan (Kataastaasan Kagalanggalangang Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan) Which means Supreme and Venerable Association of the Children of the Nation
@@BrazilianDaftPunkFan ya I know they don't research first . Just like this www.reddit.com/r/AntiHateCommunities/comments/liufo5/reminder_that_white_people_ruin_everything_the/?
All my fellow Filipino people are posting in the comments on distinguishing the Filipino KKK and the American KKK, since there are uneducated people who tend to tag the former as "racist." This is a long paragraph, and don't expect that it's too short or simply say TL;DR because I'm going to give you a couple of information and details. The Katipunan, or the Kataastaasan, Kagalanggalangang Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan, or the KKK in the Philippines, was a Philippine revolutionary society founded by anti-Spanish colonialism Filipinos in Manila in 1892; its primary goal was to gain independence from Spain through a revolution. The founders are Deodato Arellano, Andrés Bonifacio, Valentín Díaz, Ladislao Diwa, José Dizon and Teodoro Plata. The Katipunan being a secret organization, had its members subjected to the utmost secrecy and abidance to the rules established by the society. Aspiring applicants were given standard initiation rites in order to become members of the society. They also had their own publication, which is the "Kalayaan." Revolutionary ideals and works flourished within the society, and Filipino literature was expanded by some of its prominent members. It remained secret until in 1896, when it was discovered. The Katipunan's existence was revealed to the Spanish authorities. Days after the Spanish authorities learned of the existence of the secret society, in August 1896, Bonifacio and his men tore up their cédulas during the Cry of Pugad Lawin that started the Philippine Revolution. That's all of what I can share for now.
The Kataastaasan, Kagalanggalangang Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan (aka KKK), is a secret organization, which was established in the philippines, in 1892, to plan a revolution and gain independence from Spanish rule.
ComradeKenobi ok dude chill but I’m pretty sure it’s only the Philippines that knows the kkk, and the rest of the world thinks kkk is the racists. Remember kkk means racists to the whole world not just the US. Remember? Racism, Atlantic slave trade?
KKK or Kataas-taasan Kagalang-galang Katipunan is a nationalist group lead by Supremo Ándres Bonifacio to free the Philippines from colonial power which is Spain.
