A cute story. Well written, and interesting... All up until the end.... Last 20 minutes for me, dragged on and on. Best part about the book, no sex! Kinda hate all the graphic sex scenes in other books.
@@StarfallPublicationsHouse As far as I could tell, there wasn't anything bad going on with this audiobook. There were several words that were mispronounced, but that's normal with AI narration. All n all enjoyable listen.
I definitely detest those scenes, they are so unnecessary. I would rather nothing said but if it says, they closed the door and then it's the next morning, that's more than enough.
@@StarfallPublicationsHouse, there's a few places so far one just happened around @3:05:16 maybe a little before or after but not as far as 3:06, which is where I am. It's been those parts that seem to yell or go weird. It hasn't been as noticeable, maybe some spots that go extra quite.
☺️ Engaging story ...The synopsis needs a warning for some readers regarding sensitive or triggering material. (Also the AI reads the Lord's title name as Grimshaw throughout then changes to Grisham in chapter 27.)
Yes. I have been...well, it's good to have warnings. It's been decades for me but it still makes me very uncomfortable, and blaming her... and the very realistic details, is all upsetting. Well written yes, but a warning is indeed needed.
Just curious. Since you brought it up, exactly what good would a trigger warning do? Would you not listen at all, because I can't otherwise understand how knowing an allusion to a fictional event was coming would help you? If you do listen, when you see how it's going do you fast forward? Grit your teeth? Grab a hankie? Can't you do all those things anyway? I truly don't understand how TWs help.
@@katiek9146 I think "sensitivity" is a double edged sword. As a person who has had to overcome serious trauma, I can tell you the only way through it is through it. You can't go around it. Problematic content doesn't usually just jump out from nowhere; you can see it coming, and skip over it, or take it in small doses, as needed. Being afraid and going forward is the only way to become brave. Insisting on trigger warnings is just drawing the attention of strangers to your pain. It's rarely actually useful. However, moving through it is. Hope the OP recovers as soon as possible.
Thanks for the „free“ audiobook, if not for the ads. May I suggest a good editor? I had to numerous stop listening due to stylistic gaffes such: „… possibly it wasn’t possible“. 😄 For me, that’s imPOSSIBLE to ignore. 😛
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I will try to implement this in the future videos but the next 4 audiobooks that we are going to publish are already made this way.
@StarfallPublicationsHouse I agree, everyone listening to RU-vid videos know that the channel wants us to subscribe. We either will or won't, asking over and over is just annoying it's certainly not going to make us change our minds 😅❤
I wondered if I was wrong, but Google agreed with me that it is "do a favor" rather than "make a favor". However, I find it a bit quirky and like it, anyhow.
.... .... ....This is so aggravating!!! Grimshaw is determined to only think the worst and the woman is always wrong! Hanna is annoying because she won't speak up! Th truth really does set you free. Open communication paints a clear picture! I still have over four hours left. I can tell I will be frustrate much more!
Yes, @amanda; it is why I won't be subscribing! all it needed is a wiser hero, with more of a hint of wit and humor and a heroine not so timid and with a backbone. This is how some authors spin out a tale, without a thought for the exasperation and boredom of the reader. There are authors that feel the need, or have such mundane inspirations for a bland but frustrating story. This author is one of them; a dead bore. Only thing good about this story is that it's clean.
That era, was extremely difficult for women. In some places of the world still is. My suggestion for everyone out there, everyone needs psychotherapy. Some more, some less, but everyone yes. This way, humanity will move forward and grow.
One hour in and i like rhe story so far but i needed more range from the reader. The xhilsren soind loke adulta ans the "merry" gigglong Mary sounds so serious
We reduce the ads from what youtube suggesting. In general we try to keep 1 ad per chapter but YT decides at the end what will show and when. For ad Free experience you can join our website!
@@artieross9537 I get your point but unfortunately without ads, we are not able to support this channel. Think that for this long video we make $0.09 for each full view. With less ads we would make even less. RU-vid right now is just a hobby and mainly I created it for those like my grandma who has isuues with his eyes and she enjoyed reading. As long as it is not costing a lot on a monthly basis we will keep it open, and if you want to support you can purchase the audiobook version through our site.
Nice story . Thank you. Weird however that some make parts are read with a femai and for example the old lady in.The church is read as a man!! Definitely detracts from the story.
Once again we have a nice storyline that fails to retain audience interest because of the monotonous reading that springs nasty surprises from time to time with sudden shrilly delivered lines
I disagree with you! Turn the play back speed to 1.05 there was absolutely no issue. If you think it to be that bad instead of complaining why not try donating for better narrators. Its so easy to complain then be greatful! This book is good and FREE
I have to disagree also... about failing to retain audiences... I'm the first one to complain about AI narration, and I'm still here... This bot they've selected/used is very good. In fact, I listened to two books with the same bot, before I caught on... Lol Most AI narration is insanely bad... Nothing like this one...
I disagree! I love this AI narration. I consume 7-12 audiobooks a week, and have for 24 years. I KNOW about narration and this is great, as far as AI goes!
Not at all! It's improving all the time. If you listen to older ones you would see what I am talking about. The voice is great and there's more life to the narration.
Thank you for your support! Haters gonna hate. This is their job instead of being grateful that they listened a free book which they would have paid $4
