Using multiple styles of storytelling, Pfeil draws an alternative roadmap of the country, investigating the cultural significance of American ruins, their lasting impact on American history, and ultimately, how the human imagination can have a powerful impact on our mental, emotional, and spiritual health.
Blake Pfeil is an award-winning musician, writer, audio maker, and performance artist. He is one of the cofounders of NYC-based folk-fusion band Macabre Americana and hosts “The Pfeil File” on Radio Kingston in the Hudson Valley, NY. In his “day job,” he steps into the role of operations and programs manager at the nonprofit storytelling organization TMI Project. Pfeil holds an MA in arts entrepreneurship from Purchase College and a BFA in musical theatre from Emerson College and is an alumnus of the Audio Podcast Fellowship at Stony Brook University.
