well i mean was the fighting choreographed ? was the winning side already determined? And if not what was to rule set?

Ah, I see. The event has several battles. This was anniversary, so three "semi scripted", meaning the winning side is decided to fit the story for spectators, however nothing is really rehearsed. People have vague idea of the units movement on the field through the battle and it is mostly up the specific unit commanders to get their people where they need them to be. After the semi-scripted battles, there are traditionally three or more non-scripted battles (depends for how long are people willing to fight), where we only pick two commanders and set them against each other, to dictate their tactics. The ruleset is simple, if you get a hit you think that would kill you, you go down. In the scripted battles, we play out injuries, in non-scripted the rule is "when you are down on the ground, you are down on the ground and out of the battle", meaning that even tackles basically get people out of the game.
