I think this song actually fits very well with the time travel in this movie, as history is literally dependent on if Casey succeeds in his mission or not. Whether everyone gets saved or the world is destroyed by the Kraang. History literally has its eyes on Casey. This was so cool and the visuals were amazing, awesome work!

"HISTORY HAS IT'S EYES ON YOU" can go two ways, the way casey was sent into history and physically had the heroes eyes on him, and then because history had its eyes on him when he went back in time to change it

This animation is literally insane and just way way to cool. It shows how history had its eyes on Leo, as he messed up then eventually lived and led. Then the camera pans as the attention from Leo is passed on to Casey and you can see him realizing that all of his history has their eyes on him, entrusting everything to him and it’s just so deep and so heavy and insane. I’m in love it’s spectacular.

“I was younger than you are now when I was given my first comand I led my men straight into a masacre I witnessed their deaths first hand, I made every mistake and felt the shame rise in me and even now I lie awake knowing history has its eyes on me…” These lines just strike me so hard because at the begining we have the “I was younger than you are now when I was given my first command” Which is when Leo became leader and was under preassure with probably other villans but it wasn’t until tha Krang invasion he was even more stressed and worried “I led my men straight into a masacre I witnessed their deaths firsthand” Here I think he is thinking on the resistence but most importantly Raph and Donnie since they died and Leo probably blames himself not only for his past as an irresponsable teenager and his brothers deaths but also every other trip the team and the resistence had, after all HE was in charge “I made every mistake and felt the shame rise in me” THIS JUST THIS “I made every mistake” refers to every time he was overwhelemed by the Krang situation and didn’t listened to the team, he looks back at how he tried to fix or do everything by himself without telling his team and how this became a huge problem, the feeling the shame of failing even when they succeded on something because Leo as mentioned before didn’t communicate anything to his team and let things go as they go, he felt the shame of no one trusting him fully anymore and if something went wrong due to that lack of communication or listening he was the one to blame “and even now I lie awake knowing history has its eyes on me” HERE. HERE is when he talks about how every single decision each setback each win makes a difference in how big or small are the chances to SURVIVE, how every decision Leo makes will affect the inminent future whether it’s good or bad and how everything will be recorded in history, after all, the fate of humanity, THE FATE OF THE WORLD is on his hands and every misstep could cost them everything I apologize for my rambling and my probably bad spelling, english is not my first language but its just that I LOVE HAMILTON AND ROTTMNT SO MUCH I could go on for hours with the whole musical or the serie!! In any case I love your animations, the expressions are great and the music selection is divine, it’s so perfect you can see the character resonating deeply with the song, Congratulations!!
