0:37 Russia's abolishion of serfdom actually wasnt very good for serfs, as they had to pay large debts to the landlords because they were set free. So it wasnt much freedom anyways.
It was a literal slavery with extra steps. Serfdom was giving the right to take needed resources from the forests of thier landlords, for instance berries and mushroom. They were also allowed to fish in the lakes. After abolishing the serfdom, the pesants lost that extra source of food, and had to pay thier former landlords for everything they have gathered.
@@nicolausg7058 Yeah, but they couldn't be sold as property anymore, neither anyone could sell them with the land they were living on. And it's not like people in our times are debt free anyway.
@@kgb4973 Pesants were not being sold. The thing that was being sold was the right to collect thier work as a payment. It was just like buying the building with the apartments. You are not buying the tenants but the right to collect thier rents. Think about it like about change of the landlord, who takes your rent.
The Caeser salad isn't named after Julius. It's named after the Mexican chef that invented it on the spot when Americans jumped the boarder for a drink during prohibition.
@@navyreviewerdtly is listing off titles that were named after Julius Caesar’s last name. Kaiser and Tsar (Czar?), the titles of the German and Russian Emperors respectively, trace their origin to the word Caesar.
A meme that is not true, but is based on a popular misconception?!!! Blasphemy! Next thing you know, they'll create a totally false one that believes that oil comes from dinosaurs or something! Spoiler: Oil comes from rotted compressed prehistoric plant life, not from living animals
Never ask woman her age A man his salary The historians, why the records say the Empire State Building was constructed in 13 months (this and more incomprehensible construction times and stories of old buildings at old world exploration)
People only care about the slavery period that involved black people enslaved by white people, they don't care about any other form past, present or future.
Europe had NOT banned slavery completely. They still had child slavery and slavery of the poor. The English workhouse was absolutely slave labor, not to mention England had a prominent child slavery market. The Transatlantic slave market was destroyed by the British, forcing other European countries to ban it. The Russians banned serfdom, it is not the same as slavery. The US was different as they banned it period.
@@Thought_Processing_ plus america never banned slavery completely, they prohibited it then very slowly banned it. But america is the land of barbarians so who's actually surprised.
Every child forced to clean their room and do chores thinks they’re a slave, but that doesn’t make them one. The workhouses were a solution to a genuine societal problem.
The third meme is overrated in my opinion because for example; in 1813, 3 years before the independence of Argentina, a law was signed, this law was the freedom of womb (libertad de vientre), which basicly said that all the children of women in slavery shall not be slaves, but free instead, and in 1853, the year when the constitution was signed, 37 years after the independence of Argentina, slavery got fully abolished, and the few slave owners that still had slaves were indemnified. And also, a lot of ibero-american countries banned slavery very early on, like for example: Uruguay (1842), Mexico (1813/1829), Colombia (1851), Chile (1823) and Peru (1854). The mayority of ibero-america (Brazil, Cuba and Paraguay are some outliars) abolished slavery before the US and it's kind of forgotten in my opinion, but never let me cook again, I am just throwing shit because I am bored as heck.
Me with a Time Machine preventing the Soviet Union from rising. My action’s preventing the human race from jumping hundreds of years into the future,-me was worth every atom.
0:35 Slavery in Europe was still very much present by the time the US completely abolished slavery. The US started abolishing slavery way back in the 18th century. 1865 was just the final conclusion. Europe managed to completely abolish slavery a couple decades after the US. EDIT: Most abolishments before were bilateral treaties between the "New World" countries and the UK.
21:55 Greek monks or priests used ro travel to China and carry hollow canes and walking with them and whenever they passed by a silk worm they out them inside until the cane was filled and went back home.
2:54 hold on, the current Ukraine was is using Mosin Nagant rifles? I understand collectors using old guns for fun, but using a 19th century rifle in a serious war?
The illuminati card game was made many years ago and it all came true. It has the jab, trump Presidency, 911, global currency, the pedo island and a whole lot more.
Ok so I'm too lazy to go until the end of the rabbit hole but look, here the keywords to continue. TLDR, it's all true if you ignore the fact the meme is a mixmash of different operations and games (of the same company tho). The court case: Steve Jackson Games, Inc. v. United States Secret Service The operation with a... strange name, but actually unrelated (?) Operation Sundevil The game of the "unrelated" operation GURPS Cyberpunk The first title, but not a trading card game Illuminati! The second installment, a trading card game: Illuminati! New World Order
0:38 Yes but go by when the other monarchies of Europe abolished serfdom. The fact that Russia hadn't abolished it by the time USA became independent is wild on its own.
I think it's meant to represent the Boxer Insurrection, or the 55 days in Peking. Under orders from the Empress, Japanese soldiers and Boxer rebels were told to kill every foreigner in Peking, uniting unlikely countries together against them. (Russians fought alongside Japanese, Germans fought alongside French, etc)
2:23 the Kar98k and all the other bolt rifles definitely hated the M1 Also yes I'm sorry some the dumb stuff that the Germans made was kinda cool ok Panzas and Tigers are great tanks as hard as they were to maintain and the luftwaffe definitely gave us a run for our money during the fight over the British Channel to stop the preparations for the planned invasion of Britain
Pretty sure it's about Steve Jackson games. I don't remember it being about a trading card game, but they were investigated due to something that was added to their GURPS: Cyberpunk rulebook in 1990.
@@AurizenDarkstar Nope! Its actually talking about The illuminati card game that was made many years ago and it all came true. It has the jab, lockdowns, trump Presidency, 911, global currency, the pedo island and a whole lot more.
please get rid of the A.I. voice - it is incredibly annoying to someone who actually speaks grammatically correct English (as well as 4 other languages) plus a good smattering of greek ang latin.
